this is only one anecdotal instance but when vampire weekend was rolling out the singles for their new album the songs would pop up on shazam like 3 or 4 days before the songs would drop

honestly the record is fine, nothing too special. Nation is definitely the highlight for me. Apparently avey helped produce it. It's from 2004, called "The Heavens". It's on soulseek

also- deakin announced that this short tour are probably the only dates they'll do before the new album drops. so if they are touring this fall, and recording in the winter (earliest), i doubt we'll see it until 2021.

so i think its safe to assume some new panda bear material next year during the wait for a new album! i spoke to danny perez after his most recent show in june and he said noah wasn't gonna be touring solo for a while so another solo tour seems unlikely

CHz- Recorded Jan/Feb 2012 released August 2012 (~6 months)
MPP- Recorded February 2008 released January 2009 (11 months, band has said it was the earliest domino would let them release the album)
SJ- Recorded early 2007 released September 11, 2007 (~7 months)
Feels- Recorded March 2005 released October 2005 (7 months)

there was an article somewhere that said Panda Bears initial idea for buoys was an album half filled with collaborations. i have a feeling that this solange track has to do with that, and is likely due to his work on when i get home. maybe the dean blunt too.
