Oakland show was great last night. The only drag for me was that for some reason, it was a no-audio recording show (per the band, according to the door staff -- even though I recorded AC the other times they have played this same theater). So I had to check my gear at the door. They didn't say no to photo and video, though, so I did a bunch of that. My fotos are here:

I shot a few songs on video. I'll post them to YT soon.

(Shame they didn't allow audio, as the recording would have been much better than the sound from my camera.)

Anyone know where bands may emerge from the Ace after a show? I’ve got a Sung Tongs test pressing and a sharpie on hand.

No idea if it’s different in the U.S. but when I saw them in Europe there would be a bus outside the venue and band was sure to show up there. On the side or out front who knows it changes. But they def didn’t show up sooner than an hour after the show was over.

Thanks for the info. Currently in the longest line for merch I’ve ever been in, crossing my fingers for a sweatshirt.

merch line is bonkers, yikes. we were like second in line to get in so we scored shirts and vinyl but the line is literally stretching to the back side of the venue

That march line was indeed nuts. The holo posters sold out right quick. Does anyone know if they are available for purchase online, or any cool cats here who would be willing to part with theirs? :-P

What's a good frame for these posters? I'd have to order a custom one to make them fit perfectly but I'm not too worried about that

You can get one big enough to fit both of them at Target for like $20.

ahh really? after seeing night one i can't imagine how it could've been much better

normally i don't prefer balcony seating but the lighting on the walls that was sync'ed to the music made this show way more theatrical and more of an audiovisual experience. it had the cool effect of making it seem like they were at the bottom of a well during the "i need mouth water" section

night 1 in LA is now tied with panda at the roxy 2015 for my favorite AC show
