The piano and kazoo is the Banshee Beat chord change of Painting With.
its just honking and freaking out
Wish the band would log back on here and tell us all to shut the fuck up
the high-pitched noisy synth in the middle section of this song that kinda rises and falls... damn. so good
The verse is so gut wrenching, but it only happens once so it's hard to miss!
The verse is so gut wrenching, but it only happens once so it's hard to miss! When panda first sings On delay/andale Avey's melody is actually really sad. The chord changes are wicked too and then of course the piano comes in right after it...
Edit: I'm talking about the "two of us together" part

The way it builds anticipation in the beginning it seems like your accelerating toward a state of pure bliss uncontrolably but it's also filled with nervousness because of how quickly it's coming on and because your not exactly sure what to expect. Then you get to the "it was niiiiice" part and your not nervous anymore because you've reached total bliss. Then at the end it's like your looking back on your experience and realizing how incredible and seemingly impossible it was.

Guys -
what the heck does
'the sweet of the double'
mean? (in on delay lyrics)
i've been trying to figure it out for weeks and i'm really not sure...
all i do know is this is one of my favorite arrangements of words i've ever read/heard. the way it sounds in my head gives off a feeling i'm still trying to pinpoint.
also- i've never felt this way about an arrangement of words before, and maybe it's because it has the word sweet in it (although i really don't think it's the reason) but i actually taste this sentence. it has a flavor.
