Please don't put (9.0 it's ok) in the title. It's both misleading and a reference to a shit site

I feel the same. however I hear alot of intersting stuff happening and I am delighted with the stuff I hear (much more so than with CHZ) . but no, like I said after hearing LITG I feel that I miss something. The same feeling I had after hearing CHZ. like they're just less " into it " or something... not that the spirit has vanished, but it's not fully there.

cool guy, we dont have to be ironic/edgy anymore, we got the album now bro

feel like burglar/bagels/od have similar feelings/effects for me as stuff from feels/sj. like some kind of motorik/techno-y version of feels, esp on OD. some moments also make me think of sung tongs, like vertical/litg. feels like futuristic ac but also like classic ac to me

I like Golden Gals, but fresh off of hearing stuff like TLOP recently, it's hard for me to latch onto it as 'important'. Like, it's good, but in light of the weight of their music through the majority of their career.. it's just hard to see it as 'as good.'

Maybe I just need to hear it in context with the album. Is there a good quality 320 freebird floating around, and could someone hit me up with it?

But then the 2013 CHZ tour was unfreakingbelievable. Definitely was spirit at the live shows. I'm very curious as to what non-PW songs theyre gonna work into the shows, how those will change the vibe. I wasn't into CHZ until seeing the live show, then it became a favorite album.

I was also one who felt like PBVGR was a parting of ways with me and Peebz. Wasn't into it nearly as much as his first two albums, and felt like he was playing for an entirely different crowd of people. Slight feeling like that's the same thing that's happening with AC now for me. I hope not!

ya to 2nd half of burglars, but also, the part at the beginning abt the "old days...the burg-a-lars" that played in the amazon sample is my favorite moment on the album and it only happens once

2nd verse of hocus pocus with the drawn out vocals is amazing. Also to people who aren't into or think the dudes don't seem as into it, I would point to the ending of golden gal, which has them singing in a way that I haven't heard since sung tongs imo. It's a classic ac ending to a song, but sounds very fresh. Also panda's vocals at the end of on delay are RAW.

Feel like Natural Selection isn't getting a lot of love, but it's growing on me.

Also, the weirdest track, imo, usually becomes my favorite (Rosie Oh, Lion in a Coma, #1, Loch Raven...), but I have no idea what track is the "weird" or most experimental track on PW

I would say Hocus Pocus or Recycling

loving this a lot. it really is an awesome way for them to combine forces after slasher and pbvsgr. I can hear both in there and then the combination of things on the next level of their sound exploration.

it is all rather immediate and I do hope it stands up ways down the road. I also too wish there was at least 1 slower track to split the album up but that's a minor detail. maybe 1 of the 7" songs will be that one.

overall, zero complaints and hope they are really proud of this thick syrupy sweet record.

was wondering if gnip/hounds single will be more ballad-y/ambient or spaced out since the album cuts all have the homogenized momentum they talked abt (which i love here)

often my least favourite moments to a new release eventually become my favourite
ac releases almost always get better with time

i like how noah compared their music to a magic eye
how they're blurry at first but then make sense

i remember how disappointed i was when strawberry jam came out how polished it was and didn't seem psyc enough
i remember how disappointed i was with merriweather how it had no screaming and wasn't psych enough
i remember when chz came out and felt like too much like rock music and wasn't psych enough

"you suffer because you desire" - buddha

eventually all these albums are now perfect to me in their own ways. now i just trust their genius

this album is so far is awesome

^like yr saying this 320 still isnt full quality? sounds real to me

also, was thinking all the latin-y hocketing vocals are like boys latin, but they also kind of go all the way back to leaf house in a way. in natural selection, that rihanna-y eh-eh-eh-eh thing is just like a faster version of part of leaf house. idk, this is like futuristic techno leaf house all over pandas songs. and fldada and vertical are sorta like weird new rabbits

im having a hard time feeling this record as a whole, there are things i like about it. i really like all the sounds they chose to use for the records, but the mood, melodies, and way panda and avey are singing together i just cant really feel for a full length. mayb things will start to change, but for now, today, im feeling pretty underwhelmed

I think cujo is right. I compared the domino download to the flac and the difference is eye opening.

This'll be a grower for me.

There are no songs on this album that have a wow factor in the same way stuff like In The Flowers, Reverend Green, Banshee Beat, etc had. Hope it grows on me

Totally agree. I am sure I'll end up really liking/loving it after it digests but the lack of variety is surprising. Aside from the constant back and forth vocals, just using the same set of synth sounds or whatever in almost every song makes the album way less interesting than their previous records. There isn't that one super song, as demonclusters said. Which is ok...just different.

Very excited to see how they pull this off live and what old songs they bring back. Guys Eyes and Taste seem to fit pretty naturally. As for jams that I think would work well but will never ever happen...Bat You'll Fly, Native Belle, Water Curses, Winter Wonder Land. One can dream...

all of those would work really well. leaf house/rabbit also.

i like what someone said earlier about bagels >> on delay being the new reverend green >> fireworks. theyre really short but i feel like they still have this center-piece feeling(like guys eyes/taste and ntb/mr..). maybe along with natural selection too. i think in time on delay may be one the consensus favorites. stoked they said they were gonna stretch out bagels live.

also, burglars is the new applesauce in a way..
