eeeeeeh - uh - aaaaaaaaaah- uh.

it's amazing to hear this in better quality (not talking about that 320). can't wait to listen to this on my headphones. I really love the absence of the voice filters avey used lately, and I love these fucking harmonies between them (especially panda really travels to cool places with his voice).

this album still needs some time to digest it because some parts are really weird, I hope they'll become fantasticly weird. I don't think this will become anywhere near to what they did before CHZ but it's definitely more interesting to me than CHZ.

fav tracks : On Delay, Recycling, Spilling Guts, Hocus Pocus, Summing the Wretch, Golden Gujhl

I like the polyrhythmic effect in Summing the Wretch. When you can hear it different focusing on different elements of the rhythm.

so On Delay is my new favorite. the Breakdown a bit into the 2 minute mark is something I never would have expected from AnCo but it's so perfect.

okay golden gal made my brain explode. nearly cried. love the second half of the record. going to listen with headphones on the second time then run with the record later.

my dog was squeaking her toy for the first 25 minutes so it was a little hard to focus on the record.

This stuff is going to be so awesome live. They left enough room on most of the tracks for some serious improvisation and exploration. They could easily just play the whole thing straight through and still have time to play a boat load of older tracks.

It's a huge deal to me to listen to a record on the way to work. Did it this morning and it seriously passes the car test. It's instantly the best of their albums to drive to. I instantly love this record. A couple of underwhelming tracks, sure, but I know AC and those songs will grow on me. Spilling Guts is just too short. It could've been a huge sprawling jam.

"vertical" and "the burglars" are god tier, not yet sure about the rest...leaning towards the underwhelming to be honest..but yup, as we all know, AC is the ultimate grower band if there ever was one.
so time will tell, as of right now i prefer pbvsgr to this.
i kind of expected a small letdown as i miss the droney, ambient elements that the guys have avoided.
but yeah, most likely will grow on me.
