I had a dream last night that I was playing a show in Champaign-Urbana, at the closed down Error Records, and for some reason the gang was there. It was a crowd of about 30 people but I could clearly make out Noah, Dave, Josh and Brian in the front, and about halfway through my set they started to morph into their characters from ODDSAC and they joined me on stage, the music we played together was unlike anything I've ever heard, and now I'm going to try to recreate it
aaah dream world. Are you a local in chambana? Do i know you ??
I'm from Aurora actually, but I'm down there quite a bit. Real good place to hang. Reeaaaaaal good place to hang. I like to go down there every new school year and trick frats into thinking I'm a student whos going to rush for free beers. I eat at the courier every morning I'm down there, you may have seen me at one point.
hahah that's funny, I've been down here for about 5 years now. Cool to see someone close by on CA
1. BURGAAAAALUUUURS
2. on delay
3. bagels in kiev
4. golden gal
5. recycling
6. vertical
7. natural selection
8. hocus pocus
9. floridada
10. summing the wretch
11. lying in the grass
12. spilling guts
this album is fucking amazing
I agree with this order pretty much but I might put Vertical at the top. Also On Delay is such a emotional track for me. I know some early comment said there weren't any strong "feel" tracks really, but there's definitely some heart-tugging joyful moments.
on delay is the stand out for me - smoother vocal interplay than the hocketing, and it crushes the heart a bit when it works at its best.
i'm finding it difficult not to skip thru the spilling guts/summing section. they're just so stagnant. perhaps they'll grow and will unlock further once i hear them in full quality.

listened to the rip (didnt really listen actually i was preoccupied with something else) but my big takeaway is that the songs are short and the sound quality of the rip is godawful
don't ask me why, but I had this idea that Recycling might literally be made of repurposed samples from old songs of theirs (or old songs of theirs sampled wholesale and repurposed as an entirely new thing.) still really liked what we got and aside from the letdown of it being cut off, this is an instant favorite. Right now, I would say that this, CHz, Fall Be Kind, PBvGR and Slasher Flicks are my top 5 AC-related projects.
Are you me? I think those would be my exact 5 picks for best AnCo projects lol
Also On Delay REALLY grew on me, definitely in the top 3 for me.
1. Hocus Pocus
2. On Delay
3. The Burglars
4. Bagels In Kiev
5. Vertical
6. Natural Selection (everything past here could be rearranged in any way probably, they're all equally good)
7. Summing The Wretch
8. Lying In The Grass
9. Recycling
10. Spilling Guts
11. FloriDada
12. Golden Gal
album is so good. love how this album is strait 50/50 with songwriting/vocals/harmonies. seems even more balanced than mpp in that way. and their styles are both so distinct. avey's tunes are some of my favorites at this point, but noahs are insane on a same level but in a different way.... burglars>NS>bagels>on delay is an incredible run. i mean whole album is rlly, not a dull moment. but avey's three there holy shit.
and then the ending is like 3 rlly solid panda songs and golden gal. hocus and vertical are still kinda throwin me the most at this point. might be weirdest tracks on album imo, theyre kind of poppy but also sooo brain warping at moments.
mostly just used to panda's vocal dive-bombs in concert bootlegs and sort of no more runnin, so its trippy to hear them at the end of on delay and in hocus pocus
the melody that panda sings on recycling reminds me of some form of classical writing that is familiar but i can't put my finger on it. i felt the same way about last night at the jetty, the preakness, and come to your senses when i first heard them... like 1950's love songs or something?
Just listened to freebird. Am very pleased. Burglars is top top top tier. One of the all time great anco tracks. Whole thing is unbelievable though. Can't wait to hear them transition from Lablakely Dress into Floridada live

There is something about Recycling that sounds like Brain Eno to me. Like Another green world, Golden hours, that also sounds displaced in time somehow.
The juxtaposition between the dense, non-stop, fast pace music and the nonchalant delivery of the vocals is bizarre. Like they're nearly unaffected by the cacophony of sound exploding around them...At the same time so interwoven with them.
I brought a buddy home from work tonight...He's only been working there for maybe a month and we've had beers once or twice after a shift, but I don't know him very well. Earlier today at work I expressed how excited I was about PW and I asked if he wanted to come by for a doobie and a listening sesh.
He comes by and we crack a couple beers, puff a quick one, and start 'er up.
Having never heard of AC before he sat silently and with a look of discomfort on his face I swear until about half way into Lying in the Grass when suddenly he speaks up and says..."This is very...modern music. Y'know like 100 years ago when people would imagine the music of the future it would be something like this that they were thinking of."
In my case the album induces memories and feelings of my childhood — when I was 10 years old or so (circa 1995). You know, that magic feeling of freshness. I remember things I ate back then, how cool they tasted — like icecream, lemonade and so on. It also sounds like a really snowy winter. I am glad to face these feelings again. Can't wait to have a proper version!
its on one of those private tweet (this is wordfiltered but try to guess) sites, it's been up for 25 minutes but so far no one has been able to get a full download of it cause person has slow upload so it will probably be a long while before it proliferates really. so if you were going to sleep (like me) I think that's the best idea.

It's not fully seeded yet but from what I have got it sounds clean as a whistle.

Could you PM me a link when possible? I'm trying to hold out for the intended quality and it's killing me!
