All I know is I set an alarm for 9 55 to get LA tickets, refreshed the page until the passcode option appeared, then went through immediately and I still got nothing. My biggest dream for years has been to see them, if I start seeing $100 tickets on stubhub I'm gonna be soooo pissed.

the fan presale for the fonda show is weird though, it doesn't let you do the refresh trick to keep checking for tickets that get released from peoples baskets

fwiw dude its just a pre sale- it could have been only 50 tickets

Ok I've never done a presale before and don't really understand, I just wanted to make sure there will still be tickets available cause that sold out insanely fast.

I checked the site at like 10:06 Los Angeles time, and there was no option to buy any tickets. I'm pretty disappointed if the demand is that large. The Fonda says tickets will go on sale Dec 11 though.

Also, its bizarre that Ratking are opening. I briefly knew the person that makes all their videos/logo/art.

Never had an issue myself either, just happened to be on my phone with less than great signal at the time, bummer! I have to phone it in again for the general sale but at least I start work earlier and will have wifi on my side.

Surprised at how crazy people are for AC 'round these parts (maybe it has to do with the scarcity of new material and / or live shows for the past 2 years) but I'm sure people will be fine if they're ready to buy tickets at 10AM, floor tickets for the Mac DeMarco show at the Fonda lasted a few weeks and he has probably crazier fans than us!

I've got tickets for Columbus and Royal Oak. For some reason I couldn't get the page to work in Google Chrome. I did get it to work in IE though.

i don't know if i can go to an animal collective show nowadays. i hate being in thick crowds. if i get there early enough to be up front its not so bad. they are playing in columbus which is perfect. don't really care for the venue. 25 bucks... i don't know. i want to wait till painting with comes out to see if i like the tunes enough. but will it be sold out by then????

Watch from the balcony if the venue has one. Usually much more relaxed up there. It's the only way I've been able to tolerate NYC crowds for the last 7-8 years.

waiting to refresh for Chicago. I'm gonna try to get audio as well. (even though pandy and geo said the reason why they didnt tour before this record was because we all record the shows and get demoitis :negative: )

http://www.factmag.com/2015/12/09/anima ... ting-with/
Spoiler: show
Lennox: There was another intent to doing it that way. At least in the past bunch of years, it seems like it’s common for people to come to the shows and record them and pass around the recordings on the internet. Which is a great thing, and I think we like that a lot. But it also means that people’s first impression of the song is that live version or live recording, and then when the studio version comes out one can get attached to that first impression so I think it was exciting for us to present a version where the studio version is the first impression. The jury is still out on that, but we’ll see how it works.

Weitz: Yeah, we talked about that in the studio. Noah mentioned it earlier, it’s something similar to what bands can have in the studio called “demoitis”, which is when you make a demo of a song and practice to it and listen to it a lot before you go into the studio so you’re familiar. But eventually you stop thinking of it as a demo and then you go in to track it and you’re like, “ah, it’s not as cool as the demo,” and you have to learn to let that go or choose to put out the demo. I feel like what Noah’s describing is that our fans get demoitis, we get demoitis, from the live versions of the songs. So freeing ourselves, and maybe the audience, from that this time might be an interesting experiment.

Got NH and Boston tickets. NH sold out a few minutes after going on sale 45 mins ago. I feel like when I saw AC in 2009 it wasn't as hard to get tickets. Can't believe how fast NH and Boston sold out.
