I use to live In Nola! The music box is amazing! I saw Deakin perform at one of the shows with a bunch of other people there like three years ago, I recorded and have it somewhere. My good friend she works on building stuff for the music box and helps run all that. She became friends with Deakin and I about died when I saw they were texting each other. I don't live in New Orleans anymore, but I wish I did, because I bet my friend will be hanging out with Animal Collective, and I would love to join in that hang session and just see this performance!

Yea, it'll probably be closest to Coral Orgy or TTG; long stretches of drones and dissonant sounds, with the occasional melodic structure and lyrical verse. Which would be great since TTG in particular has some of the coolest little song bits that they've released in the last 10 years.

Or maybe it'll be more like Glasslands i.e. more structured. I guess we'll see in several weeks...

so these like might be the only ac shows all year? seems like everything else will just be solo unless they surprise us with festival dates? idk could be wrong or forgetting something. assuming another ac cycle wont start until next year at the very earliest so this is kind of extra cool/random..

seems like they are more and more open to doing random configurations for one off things. impossible to know really.

i think the latest currently scheduled thing is panda bear EU festival shows in june, right? presumably he will be hitting the west coast at some point after that, but nothing else is really for sure.
