for myself I'd say either tantrum barb or daffy duck or mouth wooed her.

tantrum barb is all about strong feelings about small seemingly insignificant details.. the curves of the landscape and what all takes place in a single moment.. and the beauty of all that happening at once. it's awe and admiration and I feel that's how I like to see the world.

daffy duck has always resonated with me. it's simple, undulating, soft, and pleasant.

mouth wooed her is one that makes me think of a beautiful morning with light shining through the windows and friends laughing and breakfast. I like how it's explosive at times but so relaxed at others, like a conversation when everyone is in a good mood. represents my happy side in a way.

The best I could come up with is What Would I Want? Sky. The "weighted by thinking" lyric definitely captures a significant part of the way I live my life, yet the song remains generally upbeat from a musical perspective.

In my higher life-conditions, I would say FloriDada. I'm born and raised SGI Nichiren Buddhist—i've had the fortune to be raised in a philosophy that really puts world peace into the perspective of the individual transforming first, so the idea of global human harmony is a big part of how I strive to develop myself, my relationships, and my work as a person.

Though in my darker places, I'd say safer because insecurity and vanity can really control my interactions at times, and i shut down from sharing with others the shit that might be torturing me inside. Also, Bleed cuz from about age 20 to 24 I suffered immensely with the big existential questions and wondering about being alive to the point where sometimes I'd be driven mad and so terrified and anxiety-ridden. Still plagues my mind but i've become stronger through those years definitely.

First and foremost I'd be The Purple Bottle because when I fall in love I fall in love HARD and feel all of the things things he's going on about in this song. And I'm pretty much always in love, so...

Secondly, probably I Think I Can. I've always read the lyrics as it being a song about addiction, bad habits, depression (and I've had my share of these things)...anything holding you back from doing something of value and preventing you from evolving spiritually/emotionally as a person. And that attitude, I THINK I CAN, is something that I am always very much holding onto.

I very much liked your take on Tantrum Barb, banshee. It's one of my faves but I've never heard it that way before, and I like to try and look at the world in a similar light as that. It reads like a Zen poem now.

it also feels anxiety-ridden in a way, which I relate to
in the end though, it explodes into an oddly groovy bit, while retaining skeletal minimalism

I like to be honest about things like anxiety, but I also love to feel the groove
the way these types of things relate interests me
the lack of any regular melody also resonates, melody is not my musical strong suit
I also strive for minimalism in my lifestyle in many ways
