I really feel like Tikwid is gonna make a comeback this tour. Listening to early live recordings of it, the drums are incredible. And I know this one is a huuuuge stretch, but bringing Forest Gospel back would be a dream come true.

burglars is amazing. seems like a rocket that takes off. kinda wished it jammed out for a bit.
so the avey/pb/geo trio trilogy is super solid (danse/ mpp/ pw)
they definitely stand up to the deakin/full lineup lps (campfire, hcti, feels, sj, (oddsac), chz)
wonder if we'll ever get another just avey and panda like spirit/st, hmm....

forest gospel or any hollin/dance or indian for that matter would be amazing. i was thinking maybe hey light or fickle cycle.... bat you'll fly is they do pick a spirit song.
since ive mostly just been listening to this album (and life of pablo..) im now breaking it up by making playlists where i jump around the whole discog and then throw in a new track and go back to old ones. give it a really diverse and comprehensive feel of the bands whole history... even tho some lps are so vastly diffrent, its crazy how it can still flow together. not hard to transition from danse to feels slower tracks to an mpp track to fbk and then back to like sung tongs... so good

Two interesting scenarios I'd like to see: Avey/Pb/Deak line up, or a Geo/Deak lineup

^i guess technically campfire is just avey/panda/deakin? wiki says all geo did is recorded, but i thought he also added the field recordings... but ya more of all the variations would be sweet. or more weird solo comps like new psycho actives or the keep cassette

Transverse Temporial Gyrus is prolly the closest we'll get to an Avey/Geo/Deak album

there are also those early Feels shows without Geo. Back when only Mike Powell listened to them

im not gonna say ive lost faith in anco, because I still like their output, and they change so much that it would be stupid to write them off; but i guess i just go for the more organic, or lo-fi chunks of their discog. Fall Be Kind and everything b4 it is literally more important to me than any spiritual work, it's influenced me SO MUCH. i miss that feeling bros. Live shit may be a different story, but as far as recorded stuff i just don't feel the same hway now. IDK. going 2 go slit my wrists. Tear me apart, CA.
edit: Im also really into those acoustic versions of chz songz.

true that. i wish they'd play cuckoo cuckoo but i doubt it cause it doesn't really match the vibe i think they'll go with.
Can't believe i didn't get my LP today! how long does it take to get from jersey city to the border of NY!?
I'm tryna spin that slipmat!!!

i pretty much crushed-on PW from the first listen...and it's been just a gradual build-up of love, admiration and appreciation with each listen thereafter...LITG is really my only downer...but that'll probably change with time...so much joy & freak-out groove on this one...i feel like i'll be discovering never-heard before nuance & aural slight-of-hand for weeks to come...
Also - i'm super-psyched to be doing Philly>NYCx2 with my best bud (and my only AC-fanatical friend) before he moves from Jersey to Seattle at the end of the month...when he lived in AZ a few years back, he flew to NY so we could finally hit an AC show together, having gown green since i already had 2 Prospect Park shows under my belt...well that gig got cornpilled...undeterred, we both flew to Chicago to meet-up for AC and again, it was cornpilled...so we're super-stoked but at this point, we're also a little worried that we're bad luck...8^(

I can't believe the burglars even exists. It's like AC go super-saiyan on that song.

Haha, I love how even the lyrics have a ??? on the last little mumbley bit that Avey throws out near the end.

This album's alright. I was really looking forward to it and it's somewhat disappointing. I'm sure it will grow on me though.
The Burglars is the best thing on here. LITG a close second.

Album arrived a day early! Very surprising for Australia! Loving it! Listening now!
Up to On Delay and I finally know what you're all raving about. Holy shit.
I swear bagels/on delay is rev green/fireworks all over again. This is crazy.
Dave's songs are definitely outshining Noah's so far, but Noah's voice is UNREAL!
Spilling guts just started, might take back what I said about Dave outshining

The zootropic turntable slipmat looks super sweet in case anyone hasn't tried it out yet. Also if you listen to Recycling while watching this vid you can see how the animation syncs up

I loooove recycling too
And golden gal works really well where it is at the end of the album.
Northernchild, the anco store has a pound/dollar sign switch in the top right corner, maybe you were on the wrong one? Changing the currency actually changes stores, they have different stock

definitely! i feel like there should have been a little transition there. seems perfect. bagels ends in a little synth drone white noise thing and on delay starts with one.

Hey CokePotCrack, I'm with you man. It's a fun album, but when I think about how *spiritual* so much of their discography is for me...
Like, listening to feels for the first time after hearing painting with just throws it into comparison. it's jarring. I love AC, and I definitely haven't lost faith in them, I'll always enjoy their output. It just honestly feels like something's missing.
Sorry for the negative reaction bros

anybody else feel there's sonic similarities/texture to FlyLo's pattern+grid world here? the powerful upfront percussion is what I've hoped for them to try out, so grateful it's been realized with this record. let the exploration begin!

pretty surprising to hear dry hihats all over this thing, I didn't think it was ac's style. I guess that's the point though
. only other time i've heard hats like this in an anco song was Prospect Hummer (the song).
I know hats were all through strawberry jam but they're way more traditionally used here.

the bass rumble at the start of On Delay right after "I HEAR IT DOUBLY CLEEEEAAAARRRRR" gives me a stupid smile every time

Ok this might be a little far-fetched but I think Bagels in Kiev might secretly be about Socialism...
"Bagels for everyone, that’s the kind of thing you would have wanted
There should be lots to eat or how can they expect to get a tiring job done?"
Free bagels for everyone? And Kiev was the capital of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic?
Maybe the AnCo boys are feeling the Bern.
