P4k saying MPP didn't redefine indie feels like revisionist history lol.... like what about Chillwave? All the reverb soaked summer songs that came out the next couple years? idk maybe I'm just overestimating the Animal Boys but I feel like it had a huge influence on both indie and mainstream music...... or maybe it was all coincidence ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

They mentioned chillwave and said that Person pitch seemed to be more of a blueprint for that rather than MPP which seems accurate to me
I have no idea if MPP was actually widely influential or what but I feel like it was a lot of people's gateway into experimental music, just based off of people I've talked to. It definitely served as one for me. So even if people didn't try to imitate the specific style of the music, maybe it still impacted them in other ways
