Do you know which Roland sampler Geo is using in that pic of his setup? It looks like the sp404

Thanks!

I think Geo is using a Moog Subsequent 37 and I know Avey is using their classic Roland Juno 60, complete with the classic Hollinndagain paper

"In a similar experiment in Florida, the band created new music as part of an “audiovisual meditation on the secrets behind the sexual reproduction of corals,” entitled Coral Orgy -- this performance in the Music Box Village will also contain mostly new material. "
so it says
mostly new. which is sorta interesting... guess its time for me to check that coral orgy boot to see if anything was shared between the two. would make sense if one or two is frome before, there is easily like 7 or 8 songs here, tho a a couple might have 2 distinct parts. this material kills me fuk "just grab something you know, the only things you own, stay grounded like a sto-o-one" ughhh ;_;

i just started that youtube video and that first song sounds like some of geologist's new solo stuff. maybe they're considering it "mostly new" since they're re-using some of his music.

so, i had assumed this would be a more experimental, actually site specific performance. however, these songs feel very planned, arranged, not improved at all which is pretty surprising. like, surprising to me that there would be such rehearsed conventional songs without panda.

ya as of these shows i am now
super okay with the idea that panda could possibly sit out an album cycle if they play something like this for it next, not that we have any real reason to think he would do that. more the merrier, but ya i kinda hope and even suspect that at least some of this material will have a life beyond just these shows/whatever kind of DVD release just cuz like idk it's too damn good to be a one-off thing

thats kind of fucked? hopefully there isnt much in it or he returns it or something.
these vids are trippy cuz its making me realize i remember the 2nd night as still being light out and not dark yet even tho they pretty much started at the same time, like the 1st night was definitely dark but all my visual memories from night 2 are like daylight/dusk for some reason. guess they did some haunted shit on venue. projections were really nice tho

Yeah that guy stealing Avey's notebook seems very not cool to me. But it's nice to have titles I suppose. Magicians and Defeat are so amazing, this is exactly what I want them to sound like rn.

Anyone able to rip some audios from a YT, please? Or planning to? I'm at work so can't and I don't have a comp at home any more because I fucking hate comps and have to use one all day pretty much plus my wife wants to decorate the den so it's a no go long term. We're preparing for a nursery and stuff and while she's started taking the vitamins and I've laid off the wanking for a while now it's still nerve wracking.

In retrospect that show was pretty incredible. on the somber side but goddamn gorgeous.
I split the tracks from that video up. not super familiar with dropbox but i think this should work.
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/z45d8nlkwtay ... X-IKa?dl=0
Edit: named the tracks before i saw this notebook. and I forgot he went and climbed up the water tower (water house) and made some trippy noises without being visible to the crowd

this is not the video from a few posts up, which is a little tougher to make out the vox. this one is kinda chatty at parts though
