There have been a few year long breaks Nov 2007-2008, July 2011- June 2012, Feb 2015-Feb 2016 and after the Centipede tour they played a handful of one-off shows throughout 2014-2015 but the closest they've ever come to a break like this occurred well over a decade ago-- a 5 month break June 01-Nov 01 (Danse Manatee), Sept 02 -Feb 03 (Campfire/HCTI) and Nov 04-Apr 05 (Feels). But even then, they weren't exactly returning to the previous material after their breaks.

Not sure if you're talking about solo shows, but the last CHz shows happened in December 2013. don't know what you mean that "they weren't exactly returning to previous material" with regard to the Feels tour. look at any setlist from late 2004 to early 2005, they're still playing Feels stuff. only song that was added on that tour was Turn Into Something. other songs were edited or rearranged (Tikwid, Daffy Duck, Grass/Fickle Cycle). also, September 02 was still HCTI era. February 2003 was the first Sung Tongs show. 2001 was all Danse/Hollin stuff.

I highly doubt they'll have any new material beyond the songs that'll be on the EP. obviously they'll throw in some rearranged old songs. but they haven't worn out the PW era yet by any means.

yeah at the very least I think we can hope for the two songs from the painting with sessions that will be on the next EP. who knows if they're ready to share whatever else they've written in the meantime

Reckon there'll deffo be new (old) stuff on the new tour and maybe one or two new (new) songs. Who knows maybe they'll bring out mountain game? Probably not.

def seems like the PW EP will come out before May, that'll have Jimmy Mack + 2/3 new songs, those will definitely be added to the set. solid bet they'll add another rearrangement of an old song or two as well

does anyone know if Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith is still touring with the band for the 2017 shows specifically in Toronto? i cant find anything online

I highly doubt it. Kaitlyn was only touring with them in the Spring of last year. I don't think any openers have been announced for the 2017 shows

Still not 100% sure, the event was called "Last Night" and organized by the Jefferson brothers (Atiba Song!) but it wasn't clear if it was a one off party or some new venture of theirs.

Don't have the energy / $$$ for the DJ set but hopefully someone can get a recording or some info out of the guys!

For what it's worth I spoke to Noah briefly yesterday and he mentioned they might try and add some songs to the set for the spring tour.

interesting that noah was in la for that show but isnt doing some of the other stuff around the country. is he working in la for a bit i wonder?

He said he was just in town for the show because the people putting it on were good friends of the band.

Awesome! Haven't had a chance to watch yet but I have to say it took until Pride And Fight > Guys Eyes for the band to really find their feet.

haha has avey always been singing "I don't need your hbo" during the outro to pride and fight or was that just at this show
