honestly stoked to see a keyboard and guitar also. glad they have their normal gear but also curious to see if/how they utilize the weird like experimental instruments the place apparently has

Yo any word on this? Any vids? Updates? Descriptions? WHAT WAS IT LIKE! My friend went and said it was slow, intense, and introspective, like it was designed to make you trip. Said it was like a whole album of new material. I want some vids! I hope to god someone recorded this!

was very cool. i havent heard anything from coral orgy so i cant rule out that some of it could have been related? but ya, all new stuff to my ears. maybe it is one-off material they put together just for this but who knows. avey largely on keys except when he left the stage to play some kind of weird metallic keyboard thing in a small gazebo on the outskirts of the venue (right next to where i was chilling, totally not expecting avey to like walk right next to me suddenly),
deak on electric guitar, singing a bit, esp in the beginning, and geo doing his thing with a typical 404/mixer type set up. a couple other people helping on back up percussion/vocals and sax. Avery on acoustic and electric guitar and keys . Deak on piano at end
music itself was very cool, and the projections and way they played on the trees was really something else.. couple sliiightly dancey partys, kind of got less noisey oddsac vibes... avey singing a lot. really hope the/a recording is HQ.

^there seemed to be some pretty official recording equipment/people with really nice cameras ..???so hopefully ?!?!?!
the show last night was insane
i wanna go into details but still digesting a lot of it
after tonight (hopefully .... i'm worried about the rain...) i'll be able to describe the venue and performance better.... god i hope there is an official release of some sort because the material is amazing

an official release would be so ace. i was wondering if there was any remote chance that there was more broad plans with these songs and like it could even be the beginning of a new live/album cycle? almost surely not, but some of songs seemed so "complete" that it almost doesnt seem like something they cooked up in just a week, just for two shows, but obviously coral orgys and like glasslands are cases of that kind of thing happening. (plus i guess some of it could be coral orgies?)
also i should stress this stuff is way different than PW vibe. felt like a chiller more song-y oddsac or like full band version of what avey is doing live/solo except hes on keys maybe? thats kind of reductive but just trying to place the vibe... guess the vibe changes when u swap panda for deakin and a regular club venue for a out there venue like this

It seems like the “site specific sounds” refers to the venue (The Music Box) having giant wooden and metal structures that double as instruments. The set was full of organized songs they’ve clearly rehearsed for a while, so maybe we will hear these tracks again in a different format and setting. One of the camera guys did confirm though that the intention is to release a full video of the show as long as “everything goes according to plan” so fingers crossed!

Holy balls. Had a better spot tonight and goddamned. Got there late last night and so I walked around all night which was it's own thing but was front row this time... during one of the long transitions where Avey and deak left the main stage to play the other instruments Avey was like 3 inches from me singing into a phone attached to what looked like a wooden phone booth lol. These songs are ducking amazing. 'High on magnolia' and 'this town(?) Is breaking down' crushed me along with a few others amaZing to hear then a 2ND time . Fuck. Def a handful of professional camera people

In terms of sound and instrumentation and tone, this and the Mothlight songs make me very excited. It all sounds like proper night time music.

i think i like a couple even better than that one. thats a goodie tho. this is a tease of the last song... maybe like dont watch it if you dont wanna spoil how this set ends before we inevitably get a soundboard tho? it cuts off before the actual end anyway
