Ah that's a bummer
I hope they cornpilled the talk because they need more time to rehearse an extra special set for the Empty Bottle show

Yeah, I wouldn't think cornpilling that is anything major. For anyone looking for tickets The Empty Bottle put a contest to win two tickets in their newsletter. Also, they're advertising it like this:
"SUNDAY we embark on another round of #EB25 with ANIMAL COLLECTIVE and BLACK DICE as they repeat their back-to-back Bottle performances from 2004."
Either that's intentionally misleading or this really will be an extra special show. I can only assume it's the former but hey maybe there's a god.

I think they just mean it's the first time they've played back to back at the Empty Bottle since 2004.
but oh my god. if they play a Feels set? im dead

Yeah I agree. There's no way they're playing that set. "Repeat performance" is just oddly worded.

for the empty bottle 25th anniversary they've done several recreated shows. it always just means they rebooked the same bill from the original show, not that the bands play the same music they played the first time.

no, he was at yesterday's goose island block party. charles bradley was originally scheduled to perform but cornpilled a few weeks back due to his cancer returning (and his super sad passing yesterday, coincidentally
). they didn't announce a replacement, just that there would be a "special guest" taking his slot, and it turned out to be vic mensa except that the sound was all fucked up so he barely even performed.

Show was such a blast. Black Dice sounded amazing and were so damn loud. Got to hear Daily Routine again. Pride and Fight was crazy, Avey totally let loose
This show marks the end of this live era, I'm kinda sad because it feels like AC has been so generous to us over the last couple years. Feel lucky to have gotten to see this show, not to mention two other shows this weekend. Also got to meet Mary, Ethan and Connor! It was a great night

Not sure who posted that but that's not the setlist. They opened with Peacemker and the encore was Guys Eyes - Pride and Fight - Burglars

that show was absurdly good. what a blast, great energy and the guys seemed in great spirits. black dice was so great too, i would have been happy just to see them on their own there, let alone as part of this amazing bill.
songs i remember them playing: kinda bonkers, pride and fight, guys eyes, taste, daily routine, bees, sweet road, summertime clothes, on delay, the burglars. pretty sure it was a typical 11 song set plus 3 song encore, so a few more too (peacemaker probably, as victor mentioned, tho i didnt recognize it)
edit: just looked at my vids and realized they did floridada. it's possible i'm misremembering and they didn't do kinda bonkers, so maybe someone has a more definitive setlist.

^looks right except they didn't play Goalkeeper, can't remember whether there was a song in between Peacemaker and Taste
I'm pretty sure I saw a sign out front saying there was video recording being done. I'm guessing it was being done by the venue for their 25th anniversary. Hope we get to see/hear it at some point

Hadn't seen black dice since (i think 2012) at the bottom lounge and this was even better. they played the 2 new singles, 3 from mr impossible, and 2 new ones I think. AC killed it too but I had already seen them 3 times on this tour so I was a bit more excited for BD. After 4 ac shows this round of touring, I never got vertical which is a bummer, but still glad I got pride and fight, sweet road, peacemaker and guys eyes last night since I hadn't heard those yet on this tour. Guys eyes especially shredded last night. I'm bummed that I didn't stick around to chill with CA people more, but I sort of over did it with the edibles and the bar so I basically had to bail out right after the show or I wouldn't have made it to class today. Super cool to see the final performance of this era/material, and can't wait to see what's next. Also really hope BD drops a new album soon or even a single with the two new songs they played last night.

pretty sweet that the PW era ended with "The Burglars." that was the song that took the longest to grow for me, I saw them 3 times over the past year & a half and it wasn't until the 9:30 show in May that it hit me how fucking sick PB's harmonies are at the end of that song. also killer sequencing going from Pride and Fight into The Burglars - a nice subtle political statement to end the era.

Think Burglars was easily the weakest live song of this era

yeah tbh it was a weird song to end the encore with, energy dipped for sure.
not sure what the guy above me is saying, energy was high where i was but i was up in front of the sound board.
