Someone pointed this out in the main PBMGR thread -- "Do It" features the drum break from Ashley's Roachclip, starting at 3:30.

I definitely just found the piano loop for good girl/carrots but I'm not gonna post it out of respect for the album and the amount of digging I had to do just to stumble upon it... heres a hint ... the waves at the end of the song are on the same album and it's from the early 70s....

Noah Lennox awakens in the middle of the night in a cold sweat. He's just woken up from a terrifying nightmare - a recurring one he's had for years now, where someone posts a link online to the original source of one of his samples.

He wishes he could find peace, but he's accepted his cruel fate: he's always going to live in fear - in an unending state of uneasiness - that somewhere, someone out there is discovering his samples.

i figured he meant that low piano note loop in the first half of carrots? i poked around a bit from the ocean waves hint and thought it might be from a neu record but couldn't really nail it down

i'm not sure, but the beginning of this song sounds like it could be sampled at the end of carrots around the 12.00 minute mark (high squeeky noises which are actually puerto rican frogs)

It'd probably be pretty hard to try and extract drum samples from You Can Count on Me (unless there's a part that's just drums, but off the top of my head I don't think there is)? But there are Tomboy instrumentals floating out there somewhere, that might might at least help you hear the drums better

edit: just kidding about those instrumentals, I was confused. You Can Count on Me did not get an instrumental release

YCCOM didn't get an instrumental mix in the box set, if that's what you're referring to.

Lonely Wanderer samples a recording of Arabesque No. 1 by Debussy.

This obviously isn't the version he used, but wouldn't it be cool if someone did a cover using this?

not sure if this is correct but is the synth part in this fat pat track sampled for #1?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOU0yV2dj8U (starts at the 7 sec mark)

it sounds like it was pitch shifted down for #1 but also I feel like the synth part in #1 could easily not be a sample

Sounds similar to me but not the same synth. I'd agree that the synth in #1 could easily be a non-third party sample i.e. a band-created sample.

So does anyone know where this sample is actually from? That single piano note. It's silly, but I kinda want to recreate Carrots on SP404, I've got the Kyle Minogue and Lee Perry samples, just need this one. If Frederick or someone else coudl let me know, I'd be v grateful
