Is this his first time doing a solo show in Canada? I'm too amped for this show - and the Opera House seems like just the right size for an intimate performance.

I think it will be his first in Toronto, at least (I've tried researching this using gigography sites, but I'm not sure how comprehensive they are)
Either way this show is going to be exiting. For the past few times Noah's been in Toronto with Animal Collective, he always brought a special energy and killed it every time. For example, first time I saw Animal Collective was at Fort York in 2006(?), Noah played a pitch perfect Comfy that literally brought the rain down on the audience. That was closest thing I've had to a religious experience. More recently, the Danforth AnCo show was carried on the back of Mr. Lennox, who sang and played the whole set, filling in for Mr. Strepthroat.
What a wonderful treat it's going to be, to have the solo Bear experience in Toronto. The Opera House is gonna be a great venue to see him in too, absolutely. Hoping I can snag a balcony spot.
See yous there.

I have to admit I (and my group) was pretty bummed after the Danforth show last year - I think that the biggest thing was that nothing was even said to the crowd regarding the shortened set and no encore. But having listened to the boots since, it does feel like it was kind of a special set in so much that it was Noah-heavy and he did kill it. Very jammy.

Yeah the Danforth show was very strange. I too came out disappointed by the lack of Avey, but looking back, it was definitely a unique, one of a kind show. Had it not been for Noah, we would've had another cornpilled show.

So excited both Avey and Panda are doing shows in Toronto over the next couple months
I was at that Danforth show as well. Even though we didn't get Avey's energy and it was on the shorter side, I thought it was a killer set. I've listened to the boot maybe a dozen times. That performance of Comfy, got damn.

APF footage has got me so psyched up for this show. Considering tripping for the first time in a few years in prep. Everything seems so heavy, I want to feeeeeeeeel the weight.

Show night! I'm torn btween a prime spot on the mezzanine or a spot on the floor. Just can't remember how high the proscenium is... I just dont want to truncate the visuals if im higher up on the balcony... typical overthinking it! Surefire sign that I'm excited!!!

oh man i haven't been to the opera house in about 7 years. i forget the layout. i'm a tall dude, so i prefer to hang out toward the back of the venue, so as not to park myself right in front of people's view - does the opera house allow for that, or is it like the sound academy where if you're not up close, you're kinda boned?

Frumpkin, I think as long as you're not under the mezzanine, you should have good sight lines. The Opera house def has better sight lines than sound academy!

just got home from the show. that was AMAZING!! magic. and the sound was perfect. WAY better than AC last year at the Danforth. I was very surprised to hear the Preakness, in the middle of all the new stuff, no less.
i need to go to sleep.. but that show. wow. wow wow.
