lol

i know several people who are monumentally bummed they can't make this and you're practically being inconvenienced by fulfilling an obligation...

what a silly silly boy you are.

anyways, I am quite excited....stoked its at 930 club since the last times I saw him had places with not the best sound...

Panda beat prom by a mile

Both times I went to prom I just danced for maybe ten minutes tops and the rest of the time I jus sat there. Not all the hype ... I would definitely choose panda. That would be like a prom to me , except you're dansing with other like minded folks which I would rather do any day.

opted out of senior prom & chose band practice, getting high w/ friends, & playing mario kart 64.
found out years later they had a chocolate fountain.
i mildly regret that.

saw panders a year later on my bday on the person pitch tour. even if it was at a shitty place like ottobar.

I would've chosen panda.
do it.

anybody going to this? I've never seen Geo do anything alone, so that's an added bonus to a show I already have tickets to. :} I'm excited to see Panda so soon after the psych fest as well. the new album is a lot to take in.

But yeah, my excitement for this show is pretty much through the roof now after seeing some of the Psych Fest videos. Hoooly mackerel, those visuals...

same thing with me and the swans concert the 25th except they won't let me go to that cuz it's on a sunday and they're quite religious so they think it's "inappropriate" to attend a concert on a sunday

I'm bitter cause I feel like Slasher House missed its moment, just like CHz. I know they're not the type to get hung up on critical reception but those two are my favorite releases among all the darker, more gnarled stuff they've put out since Merriweather (and really in general) so I guess I'm just bummed that people seemed pretty dismissive across the board. People seem to count on Noah for the more populist tendencies even though Dave's got pop sensibilities out the ass but in any case, I'm definitely looking forward to the guy's special brand of psychedelic dub-pop (with seemingly extra boom-bap this time out) inspiring the masses again and somewhat changing the conversation.

this speaks deeply to me. I never really get why avey's music isn't seen as more 'populist' because to me ETSH is super pop/mainstream sounding at least comparatively. I personally love the happy, excited tone of both CHz and ETSH and they need more listeners. noah's actually feels a little more disconnected to the masses as far as tomboy and pbmgr go.. but either way. I'll be at 9:30 tomorrow! yee!

most likely I'll be found at the bar since I was already front row at the APF show. and this is definitely a sitting-type show in my opinion ahaa. everyone should come see me, I'm a girl, probably will have a panda hat tied to something on me. and probably my bees shirt on. we can jam together if you're not intent on being in the throng.

vanitybonfire met Noah at Psychfest and he told him that he'd probably bust out some Tomboy tracks for the tour. Hoping for at least 1 Person Pitch track too.

The fact that everyone was completely gaga over his Psychfest set, which, being a festival show, was probably slightly abbreviated to begin with, is getting me insanely hopeful / amped up for tom. night.

ahh this makes me happy. I wondered if he'd play any old stuff at the psych fest but it was all so cramped for time.

also. I wish I had met him there. gahh. there was no way I was getting backstage at the big stage. ;-;

It's 11:22am and the pandadventure is about to begin. Heading to the Natural History museum with some friends, bumming around DC for a little bit and then 930.

So amped.
