I think this is one of the better Purple Bottles out there. Still not as glorious as T in the Park's, but a worthy addition to the recordings we have.
Thanks for the find/rip!

The track listing is all screwy. It makes a difference in my opinion because the freakiest thing about that show was the Michael Winslow opening for Moonjock. And at the end of Purple Bottle is when Avey says thank you for coming. Also love at the end of Peacebone how he asks if everyone wants to keep going, so great. Anyway, it should be:
1. Moonjock
2. Peacebone
3. Brothersport
4. Purple Bottle
thanks Mary!

A friend of mine saw them at bonnaroo on mushrooms and he said the michael winslow part was absolutely terrifying and I can sorta see why.
Also it's really strange to me how they chose the track order. Like purple bottle and moonjock are really clearly the first and last tracks.

I think it's cool they got to do that with him.
But ya he should gave it more bleeps and sweeps.

lol I think the michael winslow is pretty awesome, if not a little goofy.
It's cool to hear nice recordings of this era, it is very raw and almost sloppy(i mean that in a good way if that makes sense) compared to the studio recordings which are super tight.

I really do not like spotify. I don't understand why a band like animal collective would agree to this. I guess they just need some more walls and some more adobe slabs.

The Pink Floyd shoutout Winslow yells ("If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding!") is inexplicable and hilarious. And it's also funny when he tries to beatbox over Moonjock, but clearly does not know that the song is in 7/8 time.

What the fuck this Purple Bottle is so goddamn carnival carnal crazy town sounding it's literally the most energetically amped performance of any of their songs I've heard, and I've heard a few nutty Brothersports.
Not enough people praising the actual recordings in this thread!
