no he's objectively right. 6000 years of music culminated to that point AC or otherwise and it's just gone downhill from there man. you should really be more cultured

I love how it sounds like Avey could be laughing or crying but I can't really tell. also best use of off-key singing I've probably ever heard.

abyss song gets me every time and is easily one of my fav things done by avey. I never thought he was crying in those weird parts, def laughing but I could be wrong. Either way it always makes me laugh.

Yea and apparently Abyss Song was the soundtrack to a short film Danny Perez had made in college. What I wouldn't give to see that.

Gotham has been my favorite since I heard it in Petaluma.

Also deep memories listening to Gotham on headphones walking around in Siena / taking buses around Italy in 2012

I think the last 3 songs on Danse Manatee are a perfect stretch of songs to close that album.

Woah that sounds intense. Wish there was better documentation of such things sometimes.

Yeah, wow that sounds more like it. Either way, that opening sample with the tiger (lion?) in the background opens up the album on such a high note. Definitely one of the first anco related songs that swept me off my feet.

He's obviously concerned that there isn't any room for it.

Smart move not posting this in the panda bear thread.

Oh, and It's half and half for me. Some of the tracks like Slow Motion, Surfer's Hymn, and Alastian Darn sounded way better in the single mixes to me, whilst others improved in the final version. Friendship Bracelet and Afterburner, specifically, sounded bare bones and unfinished in the single mixes, so the added production helped even them out quite a bit. Though, It's been such a long time since I've heard the singles mix version of Tomboy, I might have to give that a re-listen tomorrow. :drugz:

Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper I assumed was the general panda bear thread, since people were bashing Sonic's production on Tomboy in there earlier. Anyways, ever since Sonic came back all the tomboy shittalkers stopped posting ahah. I thought that you posted this in here, so Sonic wouldn't read it and be distraught.
