9. sung tongs
10. pullhair rubeye reversed (if this counts)

MPP and Person Pitch didn't even crack the top 10, but CHZ and Pullhair Rubeye did? And that's not mentioning the fact that the Slasher Flicks LP hasn't even been released yet. What a deliciously weird list.

Really difficult because while I really like almost everything they've done, i don't actively "love" any of them. The closest any of them have come to quote unquote "perfection" in my mind is definitely Person Pitch, but in general it's a bit to quote unquote "chill" for me. So I guess it's going to be spirit, Indian, or strawberry jam, with spirit probably getting an edge for being the most actively abrasive and unique.

^ same, I feel alienated cuz I can't in good faith ride the Feels or PP hype train, despite loving those albums. If I had a list of faves they'd be towards the bottom before ST and the early noisy stuff. I feel like a mom/old person for liking post SJ stuff so much more than early stuff, but its just how I ammmm. I'm a sucker for a tightly constructed pop jam (just not feels)

Maybe if Feels had a different cover. A pink one... I used to really love that cover but now I feel like it over-determines what colors I hear those songs in, if that makes any sense. And I can't unsee the album when I hear it, so everything sounds like idyllic green and tan colors. I don't have this weird disruptive problem with other covers though

Strawburry JAM is my fav release because it combines pretty much everything they've ever done imo. Its got some PP vibes, feels vibes, maybe even hcti. It's just super solid, and plus water curses tracks came out of that same session which is probably my second fav(it would be my first but come on its an EP, ya gotta go with an LP right?)

water curses came out of Strawberry Jam sessions not Sung Tongs. Or was that what you were trying to say?

this is a tough choice. I voted Water Curses EP because, despite its short length, I think its the most potent mix of AnCo's psychedelia characteristics. It represents an interesting transitional period-- before we have the classic albums, arguably the best stuff. After Water Curses, we have the band exploring new sounds and jams, and also an increase in popularity. So for me, the EP is definitely my favourite. Probably not the best, but highly notable.

Well what songs on Sung Tongs aren't really good? Whaddit I Done and Good Lovin Outside are probably the weakest links but still good songs, on MPP i'm not really a huge fan of Daily Routine or Bluish (really overrated imo) but there's nothing on MPP that I like as much as Winters Love or the first two songs. Plus Sung Tongs has a more impressive atmosphere and better replay value for me.

I voted Water Curses but I feel you dog. the jam is my favorite lp of theirs. It's everything panda wanted it to be when he was eating strawberry jam on that airplane. Electric/Tangy/Sweet next level psych art

I get that people don't like Whaddit I Done, though I think they cray. BUTT I DO NOT UNDERSTAND CALLING GOOD LOVIN OUTSIDE WEAK. That song is fucking amazing, might be my favorite on the record.
