Pointless Question about AC Live

Assuming we experience Bro Sport live this year, AC will have been playing it for seven years give or take. Does that make BS the song they've played "most" in frequency and or over the longest stretch of tours?
(This question is fueled by my anxiety that they hate the song at this point but play it still because it's so popular live and they'll eventually stop and the world will lose .001% of its glory.)

Pointless ? There is no such thing as a pointless question. Just a pointless answer like this one. : )

Saw it back in Petaluma in 2011, and my gf saw them perform it again October 2013. Both times they apparently blew the roof off the place with the song, I don't think they're the ones that are going to be getting tired of it, if anything it's the people who frequent their concerts.

It's gotten so much more intense as the years have passed. I can't believe they've been playing that for almost seven years now. Where has the time gone...

all the times i've seem them they've played bro sport and i havent grown tired of it. And i've seem them 7 times. it's such a rager live! i feel like my girls applies more to your question, in terms of frequency and that they play it because it's a crowd pleaser

Played it all 7 times I've seen them. Both nights at 930 this year seemed like maybe they should switch it up since it accounts for 10+ mins of show time but it's always so much fun and has so much energy. It really has changed a ton since 07. From the summer 930 shows this year to the make up show it seemed to morph some more. I can't wait for some new material from them tho but that's a constant.

it's an awesome live tune.. last time I saw them they were also playing Cobwebs and Honeycomb so it's great to get that mix of probably lesser known stuff and stuff everyone will go crazy to.

oh wow definitely agree sugarpants! i was at the power outtage and the 3rd night @ 930 back in the summer aaaand the makeup show. they have evolved right before my eyes and i can hear it in their transitions. makes me very psyched for the future especially since they've finished the centipede tour...

i dont think i'll ever get sick of bro sport tho

I love Brosport live and the recording, but I will say that every time they play it live the crowd goes so crazy that it sometimes ends up ruining it for me so I have to get into the craziness with the crowd even though I'd rather not. It's that hot sweaty contagious effect brosport has on venues.

Wow I guess I'll disagree. DONT get me wrong. LOVE the song. But I feel it needs to DIE.

I can't wait for a new set. Most likely going to be awhile.

I love it, but I think they should move on from it whenever they start playing shows again.

I would be A-OK with Purple Bottle becoming the "dance party freak-out" song of their sets.

bro sport should never die man. that songs got such a strong message and strong connection to its audience. same with my girls i guess, but that song does annoy me not gonna lie. from my experience, i thought purple bottle was a dance party freak out song especially during the "crush high" parts, people always freak out.

i agree with most of u guys. i really hope they change up that set if they do come and tour for a bit. hopefully they come out of hibernation in the spring

was glad when they moved summertime clothes out of the live set. that's not meant to be a negative statement. it was just nice to see it go and have it replaced with the chance of something else. though, i don't think it carries the same weight as brother sport. also, i would rather experience live brother sport than live purple bottle. saying this having experienced both several times, and with no animosity towards either track. just staying in the context of the current and above conversation. or something.

i hope on the text tour they tune the visuals down a notch. i loved the crystals from the 2011 tour and would like to see something similar return.

the sheets they had covering their gear in '09 (the ones that lit up) were simple and sweet as far as stage props go.

I kind of hope they keep upping the ante on the stage designs. It seemed as they progressed with this set of songs the projections and lights kept getting better and better. It was like being in another world. I just imagine them finally having the type of draw and live reputation and money where anything they dream up visually they can bring to the audience. These past few times I have seen them have been the most psychedelic concert experiences I have ever witnessed(I only ingested chemicals for one of the 3 '13 shows I saw)

like theyve been talkin about how they change things live to make it interesting for years now, i honestly dont think they get tired of playing brosport, unless they are physically tired or something.

i sorta see that one as being a track they could fit into any set they play now, unless the next record is super mellow and a chillout show.

I have a feeling that now that the guys are reaching in to their back catalogue and reworking old songs that we will be seeing brothersport played at most shows for the rest of their career.

However, I would not be surprised at all if they throw us yet another curve ball and never play it again.
