They posted the opener. It's bEEdEEgEE which I'm pretty sure is a Brian Degraw(Gang Gang Dance) solo/dj thing. Wish Gang Gang was opening. That would be insane.

yeeeeeeeeeeee that sounds cool! i'm so excited!

except i'm going with a friend which is creating all kinds of complications because she's never listened to ac before (but i always talk about ac so she asked if she could go to the concert) but i think she's been trying to listen to them and i have a feeling doesn't like them -- she keeps just telling me they're weird or hard to get into (and this is just mpp so far) and so when the night comes i'm gonna be so worried about making sure she's having an okay time or whatever i'm afraid i won't be able to enjoy it ):

i guess i have to give her props for at least wanting to go, none of my other friends would even dream of that? :?

It's stupid and very dismissive of AC to say this but if you get her high she will have a rad time. The lights and stage setup alone are a magical feast for the eyes. If she don't party don't worry I'm sure the energy in the room will make it all make sense. I have taken 4 different friends who have either listened and not liked ac or never heard of them and all 4 had an absolute blast. Only one of them was on psychedelics.

i took a few friends back in sept. 07 when they played 930 the first time...they weren't really that into AC, kinda on the fence, but they thought the show was incredible and got into the studio shit b/c they loved the show so much...

they really thrive as a live band, so I honestly wouldn't sweat it ;)

:weed: or not, its still a blast.

Did someone get NPR a ticket? If there's anything we need, it's another NPR 9:30 club concert.

brian degraw was amazing. sweet visuals inside of a mosquito net [?!]

best i can recall:

did you see the words
father time
today's supernatural
honeycomb

new town burnout
what would i want? sky
brothersport
wide eyed
applesauce
my girls

i think i can
purple bottle

that was harder to recall than i thought. all those songs were played, that order, for the most part. but not entirely. also, feel as though i'm missing a song.. please correct me.

Yeah Brian DeGraw's set was pretty awesome. He's inside of a mosquito net but it's propped up like some kind of tent... he looks like he's in a giant birdcage. And then visuals were projected behind and through the netting, pretty ingenious and it looked really cool.

lonecyclone's setlist is totally accurate except I think Supernatural came before Father Time and Wide Eyed came before Brothersport. The transition to Brosport was really extended and pretty great, it culminated in that back and forth between Avey and Panda where they say "I like this" like way back in the Pitchfork 2011 show.

Also, did anyone else hear saxophone sounds at the end of NTB??

Great setlist! I hope they stick with this one for the Nashville show! I really want to hear Did You See the Words, What Would I Want? Sky, I Think I Can, and The Purple Bottle!

yes it was great fun! i of course wish they had played more things that i hadn't seen already a zillion times but it was still a nice set (but it went by so fast!) i think the best part for me is when they look up and just kinda smile for a second. especially in the intro to brosport dave kept looking at josh and doing a little half smile. beedeegee was incredible too. he's a really great performer

i wish i could've said hi to any of you! i definitely saw you denjanenna (up on the balcony?) but didn't have time to say hi... i tried to wait afterwards to meet them too but i've never done that before and my sister was waiting to pick me up so i left pretty soon. someday... ): oh and my friend that i was worried about loved it!

so these chz shows were great but can't wait for what the future brings!

my ac experiences get better and better every time. first of all, bEEdEEgEE was such an awesome opener!! very talented dude. i'll be getting a copy of his album at some point. also, i kept calling his "mosquito netting" a canopy? i guess it could go either way. and yea the projections on it were pretty sweet....

their show itself was soild as usual. my favorite jams of the night were new town burnout and sky (duh). sky is gnarley live and better than the studio version honestly and noah's drumming in the intro is so sick! they opened with did you see the words and that was a great start to the show. that song always tugs on my heart strings and probably forever will. it was nice to hear father time since they dont play it too often. i never get tired of hearing brothersport. i fucking love the exchange between avey and panda before they get into it. i think avey says " i like it" or something like that...

this show was extra special cause it was redemption from the power outage and man they delivered. got to talk with them for a bit afterwards. what sweet human beings. i could never thank them enough for their existence

Yeah, he said something like... "How are you all doing tonight? Better than last time we were all here I hope" and then he looked really charmingly embarrassed, even though he couldn't have done anything about last summer's delay.

I'm a little late, but man, what a show. The euphoria I felt with the Words? opener was incredible, and the mosh-pit-like nature of the crowd was unlike anything I'd ever experienced at a concert. The crowd's response to Brosport in particular was just astounding; I honestly could not control myself and just submitted myself to the will of the collective (pun somewhat intended).

Stellar show. It's really too bad I couldn't stay after and meet the guys.
