Pretty sure he just sings the first part of it and then triggers a loop/preset recording of the second part. You can hear a difference in the vocal quality and the first part sounds like it is the mic he sings into live while the second part has different effects/verb and is a bit cleaner.

tomboy was also released on april, but he started recording long before, also if thats right it means he is not releasing singles before

umm! it is so incredible what is happening, it is another new natural evolution in sound; there is so much daring creativity about how to mix vocal melodies and instruments...

That is what animal collective and all of the interlacing projects express and suggest! : ) they are always amazing reminders about creativity without any sense that there is one cultural source for creativity but endless natural experiences that lead to new artwork ideas. : )

hope he doesn't release any singles. i wouldn't be able to help myself and i sorta burned out on the tomboy tracks before it even came out

why would people not want singles?? all that means is we get more new AC vinyl. self-control is possible ya know

Well i assume the majority of AC fans are not vinyl completists and would rather go in without hearing half the album beforehand. It is pretty difficult to avoid listening to a new single from one of your favourite artists for several months and it's easy to just cave when everyone else is praising it.

Or maybe i just don't have good self control, anyway that''s why i don't want too many singles beforehand.

Amen to that. This is why i dont want singles. I would devour them.

Also is it fair to think that the album would come out much sooner if panda wouldnt mess around with releasing any singles?

Panda said on a interview for a website here in Portugal that he already have 2 songs recorded and is going to record the rest in January. 80% of the work is already done but he feels that theres still 20% to be made on the studio.

Yes, but still only recorded two songs. In January I'll do the rest. Eighty percent of the work is done, but there is always 20% who only appears in the studio.

Is also being done in a basement?
No, I left the cave after finishing Tomboy. This time I composed at home and since I lived for a while on the other side of the river, very close to the beach, the new songs have more light and colors. But it is still early to meditate whatever, but i want to release in 2014.
