Just ran into Avey at eric copelands art show in bushwick. He’s in nyc for the score. No new solo albums coming soon unfortunately

No new solo albums from him or the other members? He's made a point in the past to say releases for their own sake isn't a priority of his

He doesn’t have an album in the works rn, and from our conversation it was implied the same for AC, but I’d imagine a different story for deak or geo. My best bet is next AC album cycle in 2026-2027- pure speculation

Man Graze is so fucking crazy. Intro is expansive and strange and beautiful then that second half kicks in... damn
Kinda gets overshadowed by WWIW?S following it immediately but what a track

Graze is so good that it's actually much better than What Would I Want? Sky

Always much preferred the first half of WWIWS honestly. For me FBK operates at its highest level when it's in swamp mode and exploring the murkier depths of ACs palette at the time. Graze is a miracle but Bleed is the one I wish people put more respect on, it might be my favourite.

Thinking of What Would I Want? Sky got me thinking about that warbly, burbling low synth that plays at the start of it, which got me thinking about the similar sound that's in Gotham, and gosh I hadn't thought about Gotham in a long time!
I should put Centipede Hz plus that single plus Crimson on again some time. It's been a while.

BBC radio version of WWIWS is the best. The drum break sounds hella dirty and Avey's delay on his vocals sound super cool. I kinda never really took to the recorded version. Though its still a great song and I'll listen to it if I'm gonna listen the EP as a whole, I still come back to my fav demoitis version of AC tracks to feel the feelings.

Speaking more about Fall Be Kind generally, I've always thought that it sounded more like a "sequel" to Strawberry Jam than MPP. The drums are way louder than on MPP and sound more dry and in general it doesn't feel as "deep" sonically as MPP. The album just kind sounds more like Strawberry Jam than MPP.

Does anyone remember/have access to the clip from some documentary of a guy smoking weed that uses loch raven while he walks around at night? Or is this a made up memory of mine?

I know exactly what you’re talking about, it’s like the first time an old guy smoked weed.

Hey folks. I added a bunch of stock for these ac stealie shirts that Walsh was wearing at the show last week. Added some yellow, tie dye, and white for anyone that’s interested. Can do pre-orders for what’s not in stock.
Thanks fam!

Also worth noting I donate 10% of all profits to Dahnoun, a volunteer organization in Gaza.

Went into watching that thinking it was gonna be funny, but actually super touching monologue from the old man. Loch Raven is my favorite AC song, pure autumn love radiating out of that one. Also kinda fucked up they let him burn the bottom of the pipe like 5 times before getting it right. Hope him and his wife are doing well, or did well.
