this is very much old school style animal collective at their most experimental on certain 'unreleased' material like what can be heard on "Animal Crack Box".
This is an interesting listening experience but just a bit too meandering and soundscape oriented for my tastes. was hoping for some sort of like 60's tropicalia infused with jangle pop or something for some reason.
lol this almost reminds me of the skaters in a way

the radio archive files are still hosted, you can hear those below. as previously mentioned, it was split across two programs so it's at the end of the first link, start of the second.
Dec 12th - show 1 (at 1:55:25)
Dec 12th - show 2 (continues playing under the DJ for like 2 minutes)
anyone want to stitch these together? or does anyone have a vinyl rip?

it could be edited in, but if they actually had a projector in studio playing early 1900s carnival/circus/side show performances while recording - that's awesome as hell. what a cool atmosphere they seem to have going there.

Just chiming in that I might be the most stoked for this project rn. Used to live in NC and Sarah is an absolutely incredible performer and improviser. The voice memo recording of them performing for AVLFM’s fundraiser(I think that’s what is was??) is one of my favorite live recordings rn. I’m such a fan of Dave’s rawest instincts, I love hearing him in improvisation mode. I also love his songs, but this is exciting to get more of this side of him.
