It might as well be a studio version at this point, the mix sounds so good.

This was enough to just make me order the anniversary pressing from Domino. Love that song - really excited to hear it with a fresh mix on my turntable.
In addition, he pops a jump but not too hard so he had to carefully measure the specific effort and then implement it.

Same here r_o_s_s. It's gorgeous, the background vocals really shine. This mix makes me want to hear them rework Maya like the doo-wop/60s girl group song it is underneath all the production.
Also, not to nitpick, but why is Domino only offering 16/44.1 downloads? Pretty expensive release, it would be nice to have a 24/48 copy.
all my bitches cook grits
AHHHH
From a Beach on the MPP download card is so delciious!!
Amazing to finally have a properly mixed BBC recording
Release the others!
Chocolate Girl!!
Okay serious question for any musicians in this thread. Little back story, not to be TMI, but i recently went through a really huge break up and the past week I’ve had a realization that music is what I’m really passionate about and what I want to spend my life doing. Right now I’m listening to the Tangerine Reef cassette and that is the type of music I want to make. I’m noticing the numerous samples, I’m sure that’s not hard to do, but like… where do I go from here? Where should I start? What should I learn first? What’s the right direction to start for someone who hasn’t done anything with music since 2018?
Any advice is helpful, just feeling very stuck and lost. It’s been very hard to think straight. Once I get an idea, I sort of just freeze. Sorry if this is a lot lol
