Wouldn't domino be in favor of a more normal roll out? If I was a label I would want as many people as possible engaging with and listening to an artist's work.

Maybe Avey wants to use it as a reason to get people to come out to shows and check out the merch?

domino may restrict digital releases but avey has released some one offs on bandcamp in the past so who knows

I don’t know Avey’s solo stuff as well as AC’s stuff, but I don’t think I had heard 3 of these songs. One of them did sound familiar but I could place it.

Also there were 1 or 2 extended interludes of guitars and screams, not sure what songs you would want to classify those as.

I think the 4th song is completely unknown, but I wasn't there and haven't heard any recording of it yet, so I can't say for a fact.

Someone called the second song (first unknown) "Fastly", and Avey's cassette EP he said he is calling "Fast Lea" so maybe that's something from there.

The third unknown with the snare loops is Heart Attack/Are You Coming Back? whatever we're calling it these days

Damn, there's an actual string section? Yeah I think that's a first, the closest thing would be the strings that appeared on Defeat I guess. What do you think of the EP?

It's something new! I'm a fan for sure, maybe more so than 7s? There are def some lines you can trace back to 7s, but it really is a refreshing new step. The title track is totally different instrumentation than the live version. Theres an awesome few minutes of very chill jazz on there with just field recordings, piano, and horn. Last song feels like something conference of birds related, and is a bit more driving than the other tracks. Overall a big fan and will probably be listening to regularly

New user of soulseek here, very difficult to parse this UI no idea how anyone thought this was a good idea. I got the EP by

downloading soulseek
creating username
searching song titles, Fast Lea is probably a good start, to find the EP
found preakness
created a "share" folder with a random MP3
designated that as the "Share" folder in soulseek
instantly downloaded from Preakness

I'll try and help anyone with any questions as this EP must be heard
