There might be an old thread for this but searching "mondegreen" came up with no threads, just a few mentions.
This band teems with them, avey songs in particular.
Lion in a Coma
For Reverend Green
80 (when you left me)
What Would I Want? Sky
Brother Sport (support your brother)
there are so many, please post more
I thought of it today listening to Crosswords, and I realised that though Crosswords are a popular puzzle, they are also words that are cross as in angery grrr which I would say PB is somewhat in that song

If you mean "forever in green" or something I don't think that was ever the intention. Reverend Green was their tour manager Brad Truax, I think it was always meant as a straightforward reference to him
Mouth Wooed Her/Water
Seal Eyeing used to be called Sea Lion
Infant Dressing Table was titled Infinite Dressing Table I think?
I suppose some of the Pullhair Rubeye track titles could possibly count?
Sis Around the Sandmill comes from what the words "when the sun arises" sounds like in reverse
Who Welses in My Hoff is from reversed "for telling sister [jokes]"
Lay Lay Off Faselam is from reversed "it's a funny little [thing]"

^ on the topic of that Avey Tare release, does Misused Barber have the name "Barbara" in the lyrics? If so that could be one but I still don't know for sure what he's saying

Avey/Kría ones (some due to Icelandic pronunciations):
Opís Helpus = Oh Please Help Us
Foetus No-Man = Feed a Snowman
Was Ónaíp = Piano Saw

Was "feed a snowman" a thing they referenced themselves? I always assumed they just called it that because of leaving the vocals/lyrics out of "Foetus Man" which would have been the title originally
That one took me a second but it's from the original words of the Grateful Dead sample which were
"... sky
whoa, I walk ..."
So another example of Avey deliberately hearing it as a different set of words

I could be wrong but I've always heard him say both "spied the otter" and "spied the other" on boat race

I never heard Dave speak to it, but. BUT. While the title is surely sourced from the lyrics, the double meaning is hiding in plain sight (as double meanings do). It's also easy to imagine the "fetus boy" in the song is snowman-like (in need of dressing, a proper face, cold and 'dwelling') and needs to be 'fed'.

I've heard people say De Soto De Son is The Set of the Sun but I can't make that work with my brain or mouth
Must Be Treeman is Must Be Dreaming - I think?

the crack box version of de soto de son (happy birthday, abby) is pretty unambiguously "the set of the sun" imo
and yeah treeman is from a pepperidge farm commercial, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzXXZd03WwE
peacebone i assume just came out of the bonefish sample being looped or something? kinda guessing there. i don't know if there's any bootlegs where you hear it like that

this is a stretch but there are some cuts where he pronounced the "ce" and "sh", like "a-peashebone, a-peashebone" and it kinda sounds like hes saying bonefish.
This thread got me wondering if tikwid is a mondegreen or something, looked up just the word and the first result is a reddit post about how if you rearrange the letters it sounds like "dick wet".... yea that subreddit is something else dude i wanna smoke what they're smoking

Never thought about this one until now. I always thought he was saying AD since the song is about their break up and she even sings on it, but I guess he could be talking to his future self (saying 80 or Avey) about remembering the good times or something.
The lyrics sheet says 80 for what it's worth.

Not strictly a mondegreen but Sung Tongs. Is it just really obvious to everyone that it's Tongue Songs? I don't think I realized it at all until a rare moment in a Sung Tongs Tour era interview where Avey confirmed it off hand. I think I was mainly shocked that he actually clarified something like that when he usually avoids disambiguating stuff. But maybe he thinks it's obvious lol

My pet theory is that Sung Tongs is narratological. It begins with a kid being upset with the mood of his house and then his parents take the kid to their friend's house. Many animals are met along the way, some real, some imaginal; stoner siblings are encountered, imaginary play-scapes outside and inside. It ends with the kids being loopy trying to stay up passed 9PM making weird sounds with each other in their fort as they fall asleep.
