maybe the wrong thread for it but as people inevitably start thinking about super-sequencing skiffs in with now? have people thought about ideal ways to incorporate the challenge in with strung together?

i played the challenge and then put skiffs on shuffle, starting with strung of course, and the great release of closure in that transition jam resolving is (1) massive and amazing, and (2) kind of showed me there's no ideal sequence for skiffs so much as those songs and their separate ideas all work in any context.

In terms of combining skiffs and iin tracks, I don't think it can be done in any meaningful way at this stage given how much of the new album is still unknown sonically. and there may be more transitions like soul>genie's which will complicate it further.

Tbh I already kinda feel the new songs sound different enough from skiffs that I wouldn't really want to mix the two albums anyway? I might prefer to go to live recordings to make a mega mix. Having said all that I'm not a big playlist guy anyway so I'm certainly no authority

Figured this would be a pretty good order to make everything fit into a vaguely hero's journey-esque emotional arc, although ATCAB's placement is of course subject to change. Yes I reverted some of the titles because otherwise that'd be two songs with "broke-" and two songs with "walk-" in their names, yes the first interlude would be an excerpt from Sux-Bier Passage overlaid with Dave's cute Soul Capturer intro for Double J radio, and yes - the cha-cha slide girl would make an appearance in Out There

honestly september is so stacked with events and music that i'm not hoping for an early bird. at this point i can wait. i'm going to NY for Woodsist to see Avey and the Woods/KV gang, won't be coming back home until the day before NOW? is released, so i'm definitely not going to be asking for any PMs... i'm gonna be diving in the moment midnight hits for me.
