This is the exact experience—every detail—that I have leaving a bad day as a therapist and driving home on Lake Shore Drive and putting on an AC related project. Will do precisely this the day this drops

i haven't had weed at home in years but this impending release has got me craving a sunday afternoon joint at home more than i have in like 10 years.

my wife's car (a VW tiguan) has a pretty sweet sound system and this is going to fucking bang in the whip. can't wait to be a middle aged white man cranking this bad boy and embarrassing my tween daughter with the windows down and the shades on.

Man i’m relistening to ATP Rehearsals from 2013 and I just got so much nostalgia. That has to be hands down one of the best AC related eras of all time. Those early versions where so cool

I really loved the old titles too — garage/day after day was so cool and when come to your senses was called hoover lmao

really appreciate you being here pete, you give us the best insider info and really appreciate how much you value the people who really care about your music, and by the way, being part of spacemen 3 and then intwining yourself with AC so much, you have really made yourself one of the most important people in psychedelic music since the 60s (not to mention the red krayola remaster (one of my favourite psych records ever(btw if people haven't checked it out corky's debt to his father is an amazingly weird psych country record, think skip spence's oar on acid(which it already is(how many brackets can i muster)))

but point is, i love all spacemen 3 albums, congratulations by mgmt i think is vastly underrated in their discography (their most underrated record by far, really amazing work) and the fact that you have now become part of the AC legacy (my favourite band by far) is amazing... any plans for you to ever produce an AC album, would love to hear your take on a more exploratory AC release a la tangerine reef, I feel like your production style could really shine

in a way, I would have loved to hear your take on the time skiffs stuff, has it ever been discussed? you working with the full band rather than focussing on noah's stuff?

sorry for the wall of text, very excited for reset in dub also, adrian sherwood is a titan in the genre

Understand wanting to try new things. Novelty is good!

Also, its your music obviously - you gotta do what works for you guys and what you're excited about.

That said its really frustrating/unsatisfying hearing 2/3 of a jam!

But hey, maybe its working cause I'm super psyched to hear the whole thing.

we all have lived such unique but also shared experiences — especially those of use from before 2013 who have kept up with this place, thru peaks and valleys of interest in the AC world, in some capacity

Awww ….. It’s a pleasure . Thank you for the kind words . Frankly , I don’t know what else I’d do . I believe the psychedelic state is where some of the most interesting things happen .
Tbh . There’s usually little enthusiasm for remix LP’s & it took a little give & take to get this thing made & it was something we wanted to do whatever ….
Adrian Sherwood did such a sick job that I think this is something different .
We‘ll be doing promo stuff , but different things , and no expensive videos . Sometimes there’s more important things than entertainment & we’re keeping that in mind with everything we do . Everything in balance . I think I said before that everything we do , from our live show to our promo is all done with consideration for the best possible result from the least possible impact . Travel light & tight , Play hard & fast .
I’m not sure i’m entwined w the AC posse , but I love them all & appreciate them a lot . They’re a pretty unique bunch of dudes & we’re lucky to have that .
You all have a beautiful summer & come say hi if you come to any of our shows these next months .
Love like that x petek

also, i wanted to throw you some props man, I saw you and panda doing tomboy tracks at the now defunct popped music fest in philidelphia in 2011 and it was, truly, a transformative experience. do you remember that fest? was anybody else there? does ANYONE have a recording from that show

I never care for remixes but I'm so excited for this. Can't get enough of the slow section of Danger or the brass echoing the melody in Gettin to the Point

Same. Never listen to remixes at all but this feels quite different. With the added recordings and the track list in original order it’s more like a whole new version of the album with Sherwood collaborating. Super psyched for this.

No . The OG version was to a loop from ‘it’s growing’ by the Temptations . We kept their piano intro then looped the first couple of bars before the vox comes in . I’m gonna share these OGs with the samples we nixed sometime soon when I get a chance to sort thru .

No sweat . It’s all Eire to me . No borders . No countries . I think it’s a disgusting imposition & I’m sorry about that . I grew up watching the daily street fights between children & soldiers and it’s a vibe I’ll never forget and am pleased has eased . Belfast kicks ass . David Holmes is a legend . I wish we coulda seen our Derry buddies the Undertones , who wrote one of the greatest songs ever , and who we met at Rockaway beach . The band stood & watched our show . A ‘fockin’ amazing’ from Billy Doherty is one of my favourite reviews ever & heartening to the max from the guy who backbeat the sound of my youth . I hear that intro & i’m 13 again in a flash … I hope we get to play more Canadian shows too . We’ll see ….

Hey Sonic,
i just back from Katowice Poland, and i wanted to thank you so much for the show was so incredible!
I didnt expect such wall of sound and perfect harmony. Your powerful voice and Noahs were so on point that night! This album live is 10/10.
Also I appreciate the fact that you came down to us after the concert as you promised. I did not expect it at all and because of that I did not take a single CD or my Tomboy boxset vinyl to sign :( It bothers me to this day but I just didnt expect i would meet you on a festival. (plus this rainy weather)
I hope you will come back to Poland.
Thank you for a wonderful gig x
