AMAZING COVER -- so much like what i was hoping for -- could've done without the solid coloured construction paper rectangles, seems to stick out too much, but that's just nit picking -- love all the floral stuff -- i like the back cover more

tracklist is bonkers, so so bonkers, and i can't even comprehend it yet -- so many "odd" choices

Defeat being in the middle of the album is strange but I trust them. I definitely see kings as a closer. This tracklist is STACKED. What a massive album this is gonna be

That’s a good comparison. Kind of a “only need to listen to it once maybe twice” track for me, helps it’s at the end of the album, otherwise it’d be “next track.”

Tracklist thoughts...

-- Defeat as true CENTERPIECE. I like the levity of following it up with Gem & I

-- I feel like tracks 2-4 were predicted as 1-3 more than a few times...Soul Cap starting it off threw our predictions off there, but that 3-track run makes sense

-- Magicians back to back with Defeat is MASSIVE

-- Stride Rite placement was pretty much what we were expecting

-- Kings as closer is super weird...more like an addendum to the story... the album's coda

that's definitely it. i think it was deakin who said they could barely fit defeat on one side of vinyl. 22 is the industry-accepted limit before quality starts really suffering
