Yeah def coming today. Has more pre-save options (such as Domino, though it 404s for now) and this time actually has the song title instead of a period.

He’s doing a show in Novato? Wtf that’s deeply unexpected (when the rest of the tour is all mostly major cities)

These pair great - bright and structured + moody and meandering. That’s the AC magic.

Wow he's playing Denver at Lost Lake lounge. I used to live a few blocks from there, that place is tiny!

Y'all think he'll be touring with a band? Or just Avey solo? I'm guessing it will likely be a solo tour

Gotta be a band right? I know he's done solo tours but he always seems excited about playing with other people. My hope is band.
Listening to the new songs now, the end of the Musical reminds me of something I can't put my finger on.

Was gonna wait til I got home to listen, caved and listened to both tracks on my lunch break lol. The Musical is indeed groovy, feels like he'd need a band to play that one live, but maybe not. Love all the sounds at the end. And Hey Bog turned out crazy. Those keyboard runs... there's a lot going on in both of these tracks, but I already think I'm gonna like this album more than Cows

The rhyming and word choice is pretty remarkable here
been dreaming for a century
getting too far from gnomes.
Is it gonna be alright
when we get back home?
A drummer can fall apart
on any given night
there might even be a law
the clapping of the hands
Look at me once again
do i look different now?
escape into the moss
at the edge of town
everything had a frost
when the sun went down
a candle lit up the room
the shadow of your hands
beckoning i should stay
but i drifted off
slept with the big red moon
behind your curtain cloud
off to another day
i hope the earth gets rest
traveling after dawn
the changing of the land at light
been dreaming for a century
getting too far from gnomes.

(!) For the unfortunate souls in our gulags, what’s going on sonically in these jams? Guitars? Synths? Drum machines? What’s the production like? Someone mentioned it’s pretty hi-fi…

It's just a very well done recording. The vocals pop out, all of the instruments can be heard clearly and cleanly, there is a very good dynamic range. There isn't a DIY muddiness/thinness to it which most of his previous records have. Its definitely some of the poppiest production i've heard of his solo work. I definitely like it. Feels very fully formed and has a clear identity.

very satisfying that our boy scheduled a show for a weekend when I was already traveling to that city for another show the night before.
I'd love to see Deakin and Jeremy back on tour.

yeah definitely don't think it's my fault that the ffm links had the wrong date. they are back up now and say the 10th for both songs
I didn't know exactly who spread the info or where the source was from. Didn't mean to make you feel attacked - I was hesitant to accept the release date as true also after the hold up yesterday. We've got two tracks now though, so all's cool. Cheers, and thanks for reporting. We'll chalk this one up to Avey's fuck up

[edit]
Hey Bog was a fun little soundscapey track. I like The Musical a lot more for sure, but overall I still feel like I like Eucalyptus more than anything.
