not to make it about me, but i missed AC in 2019 cause i got appendicitis days before, missed them in march 22 cause car got stuck in snow on the way to the show, if monday's show is cornpilled too i should prob just stop trying to see ac at this point lol cursed
Aw man. Yeah I remember you saying that you got stuck in the snow, hopefully you don't miss another show
Recorded with Zoom H1n and my phone, Samsung Galaxy S22+, the Zoom is the predominant one but I mixed in some of the phone audio for some depth and a slight stereo effect. Hopefully it sounds ok, it took me forever to get it right lol.
Enjoy!
Ah I’ve been camping without cell service the last few days and just saw the news, huge bummer! Giving me major CHZ tour flashbacks I’m worried about the Central Park show on Tuesday.
lil worried about the show tonight, hope dave is feeling 100% because i've been burned before with the slasher flicks show ending after 3 songs...
Woof and I thought I had it bad when they stopped in the middle of WWIWS?
Even if he can't sing 100% I'm hoping he feels better and can play in some capacity and they work out some kind of "full" set. I was on the Reddit and people were being such dicks about the Sacred Rose cancellation, angry that they couldn't just play as a 3 piece with no notice or whatever people like to complain about.
Bumming around Portland before the show tonight!! Haven’t caught em on this leg so I’m beyond excited! I’m in the tye dye king gizzard shirt. Say whuzzzzzup!

I'll def keep an eye out. I'll be in my AG Cook Soulbreaker shirt with the UK flag on the front
long shot here but anyone selling an extra ticket to summerstage tomorrow? i've paid for every tour since Hz but the fees on this are completely out of my budget right now

We met in line! I was wearing the pink fuzzy hat! My partner has green hair! How did your recording turn out? Cheers!
Portland Maine show was fun! Low-key wish they were playing a more diverse set from the winter tour, but that's just me being a spoiled fan
Poor Abby completely lost power about half way through the show. The venue's house techs were being very slow in getting her a new line so we were without lighting and projection for a few songs. Then she had to awkwardly reboot the projector in the middle of a tune and the crowd was greeted with a giant EPSON logo on the screen. As an AV tech I can really sympathize with that kind of nightmare. Venue's fault for providing low voltage gear to handle a high voltage job.
Logging in the first time in a very long just to gush. Wow what a set!!! Hearing Defeat live may have been life-changing. Hoping everyone else had as much of a good time as I did!
Hunkswithguns, I also taped the set. Nothing crazy, just kept a Zoom H1 on me while I was by the barricade. Have to clean it up a bit but if you want to get a matrix or something going lmk.

I was crawling in my skin for her too, I felt so bad but they played it off like pros and the reboot ended up syncing up with the finale of Stride, so it REALLY hit in the best ways.

Hell yes! I was hoping to record from a nice clean balcony spot but alas…
Matrix would be sick! Wasn’t the best placement for me either but hey, everyone had a blast and the show was mind melting. That new
Super last minute but my buddy who was gonna go with me tonight got sick so I got an extra ticket and would hate to see it wasted. Will part with for less than face value, DM and we can work out the transfer.
Currently cleaning up my recordings. Came out better than expected honestly, given where I was. Only problem being I left my auto level on by accident
[s]Will post once I finish the arduous task of fixing them manually.[/s] Compressing the shit out of it (mostly) worked. Not perfect but will make making a matrix a lot easier. Will update as I experiment with it.
Heres ~ a minute of Genies post-mild EQ and compression for context, feedback appreciated:
Sounds great, looking forward to the boots of last night and tonight, thanks all
For your efforts. Enjoying the nostalgia and magic of hunks 2019 Big Sur boot while I cook dinner tonight

this show's car keys has really cool vocal stuff, fun grunts just after the first "holy ground" section. I think noah cutting loose on vocals may be one of my favourite things in the world

Man, what an absolute blast that show was... and it started raining from Wide Eyed into BBB!!! Glad my voice wasn't shot by that point, as I was able to shout-out to Stevie wonder before the 2nd verse.
NY crowds gonna be NY crowds, but overall that might've been the best experience I've seen them. Incredible sound, best stage design and effects of the tour so far, the guys were playing tighter than .uhhh... something tight, and that setlist was out of my dreams. Finally got to see Car Keys too, so much fucking fun to wail along to. Gem and I and Soul Capturer truly have found their absolute teeth and will be 100% murderous on the next album. Also, the intro to Unsolved is fucking awesome!!! So sweet!!
Damn. Can't wait to hear some of those massive boots.
Central park will go in my top 5 all time AC shows for sure. Rain during the end of the set, looking up and seeing the trees move to strung and wide eyed.
The ending of bluish, the band has a power over me. No matter how much time skiffs along, no matter how much my view of them change, they are always ready to humble me and remind me who the fuck they are. Flickering blue lights, avey hitting every note, letting the ending section of bluish get absolutely massive. Privileged everyday to listen and observe. Bluish was the first AC song i ever heard, and the little melody they play with the guitar/synth is what got me. It gave me a feeling, and I wanted to explore that feeling. What was it? 10 years later, bluish surrounds me whilst i sway around. The feeling surrounded me. See u all at the next one!!
