Feels like the Noah from Appy Halloween and Fecal Matters wrote and performed this album. It’s so incredibly mischievous and even a bit flippant in its melodic song structure. Especially things like Everyday. And the deliberacy of this album really reminds me of being a young ammature artist, when things seem to fall into place more naturally as you’re finding your sound. All of that within a fully professional piece of work is just pure art, rejoice everyone

Beautiful album, lots of heart <3 and worlds of textures to get lost in:drugz: Will be on repeat for a long while!
Dang Dang Dang Dangerrrrr :'-)))))
Hearing those instrumentals was super cool too. Galcher Lustwerk did a similar thing for his album Information, and I got a whole new appreciation for his craft. Sometimes you can just obsess over a hi-hat sound and feel really good, haha.
And super big hi five to Sonic for putting all of our minds on track for this album. Your Cryptic and Mystic messages made me think a lot about things that I needed to.

This is so true lol. It's quickly become my favorite on the album along with Whirlpool and Danger. All of the songs are at least 7/10, many of them being above that for me. Album overall is an 8/10 for me currently. I want to say 10/10 but I don't want to overextend my praise because it might be some sort of new music bias. That being said, the production and song writing are great.
Also I remember Sonic Boom saying the phone tones were rejected by so many other artists he worked with, I really really think it adds a lot to Edge of the Edge. Almost like an ironic commentary on the disconnected nature of a world where people are constantly plugged in but still finding it hard to actually connect. Those busy tones and modem signals all give that idea of trying to connect but finding it hard, while the lyrics swirl around about constantly being glued to a screen and online. Really nice touch.

yeah . was a surprise to me , but we cross each vocally other a bit . Noah never sung like he does( with me) on the "give it to me" call out - pretty sure he was showing me the path he'd found . . People think Whirlpool is Noah ,which is nice , but it's mostly me with him on some parts .

Usually I lean way more into Avey's solo works than Panda's, but this sound right here is exactly what I didn't know I needed. I can't remember the last time an album make me teary eyed with joy, as opposed to sadness. This one did. Major props to Panda Boom (Sonic Panda?) for pulling this off and making it feel effortless :')

the first minute of Everyday is what musics all about. So fucking good. (obviously the whole thing) But the way it unravels and then panda comes in with "everyday" and that synth melody- the catchiest thing in the world. great way to walk around in the sun

Just saying what's already been said, this thing is fantastic. The snippets had me interested but I really feel like the strength of this thing comes in listening and letting it unravel. So many small details to latch on to or be surprised by. PB/SB really sound like they're having fun on this thing and that comes through.

Absolutely, I had this exact experience with it. But then I also feel like it gains more power through repetition. I had chills by the end of my first listen of that song, could really feel the positive healing energy that Sonic has been talking about here.

okay i finally got to digest the whole album - what an incredible listening experience. like a lot of folks (and reviews) have said, its nuts how timeless these songs sound, and how familiar they are, while also having the thrill of new tunes. going to cherish this one long after the summer's ended.

been listening to this album non-stop it's addicting. really wanna applaud to noah and pete the artistic achievement here, every song is so tight, playful and fun it makes me feel so good in these turbulent times; and the overall audacity to put a record out with these samples that must have been so expensive lol. so happy to see a passion project go so well. it was warm seeing your words on here too pete, thanks for sharing the process <3

So many things to say... firstly, when will you two Collab again? So natural, so connected... really dug that imagery from the Go On music video.
As for the songs, every single one has grown on me to the point of the album feeling slightly religious. Just for every song to connect to each other and breathe so well, and yet every song touches such a unique pool of influences and swathes of so many different flavors. The way Danger dances in the cobblestone roads under street lamps, and Whirlpool slips into a permanent state of water-park-toilet-bowl euphoria, and Go On tears through the old west like a dust storm, and Everything's Been Leading to This gallops onto the strobing dance floor... Man, I'm just moved. What an ocean of an album.
Thank you Pete and Noah, just woah. Entranced and addicted.

there's no sample used in any of the 3 w my Lead or In my body . Whirlpool does use some of the backing parts from "Things Like this (A little bit deeper)" from my All things being Equal solo LP.
this is super interesting! I really thought the guitar(?) all thru Everyday was an old loop.
And what was the starting point of in my body? it's so minimal
and I gotta ask sb, your vocal melodies appear to be on a theme here as well as a few places on atb=. Is this a case of exorcising an idea through many songs, viewing thru a kaleidoscope from multiple angles?

Current favourite moments: the synth that sounds like a tree being felled in the "stuck on a branch" section, and sb's bass backing vocal in danger. dang!
oh my god and gettin' to the point is too good at gettin to the point! Livin in the after too. so short i'm gonna replay them both to death
let's get this happening!!

No , that;s Noah on his fender acoustic .
Haha . you mean that I only ever use 2 or 3 notes in my "melodies ? ? Remember the thing I said about "the voice of a generation meets the voice of degeneration"....... I do vibe , not notes . cos that's pretty much all i got.... ; )

Haha that's bloody funny.
Also interesting about the samples being there to prompt the initial composition and then being (mostly) removed later. I was talking to my mate about the album and we suspected that was the case. I think it really helps with the pacing and tone of the record, from my perspective. It's like the concept is set up straight away with Getting To The Point and Go On and then it's oscillating subtraction and addition through to the end. From the first two singles, it did sound like it was going to be a more economical, drier take on PP/MPP songwriting but there is much more here, as you said. The spacier, dronier, Krautier stuff is really hitting me. Never really heard anything like that with Noah besides that Preakness mix.
Anyway, I'm rambling but cheers. I'm still buzzing.

Nice . Kraftwerk felt like they were around a few times . Some of the key parts had their frost on them straight away .
Taking the samples away from some gave the lp breathing space though & twisted thru some more contemporary / future present vibes . And also it would have crushed the charitable side of the lp to keep all of them . We're both donating a sizeable share of our royalties & publishing on RESETto Maps to help reset traumatised people. It was important that could amount to something substantial , and this was one way to help that . Have a beautiful weekend there xp

Nice, I was wondering about the sample situation too. Really curious how you guys are going to do this live too and if any of your solo stuff may be thrown in for good measure
Bumping Everything's been Leading to This as the sun is coming up. It is like Saturday morning cartoon vibes in the best way possible. Really happy for this album, congrats to you and Noah

Remember Pete sharing some ABBA tunes earlier in the thread, hear the ABBA strong on Everything’s Been Leading to This when Noah comes in with the “Here it comes, here it comes” harmonies (though you could say that all of ABBA’s influences are the same as those for this record)
