It's so wild that every new snippet feels like a totally new genre. Going to be an album for everybody

I wonder what the live setup for this will be. I'm guessing having both pb and sb performing means pb will probably be playing some guitar? Im guessing given the madrid show hes been thinking about how to change his live setup up. Maybe bringing back some 404s? Cant wait to see

based off of booms comments my guess is something similar to tomboy. not sure from what we've heard in these samples if the guitar will be necessary.
can't beleive in like two weeks we'll have a new pbsb album. climate anxiety and 2024 anxiety will be shelved for all my reset listening :}}}} gotta compartmentalize these days and we're just lucky noah and pete make music

I think everyone's been chilling with the digitakts, but as a 404 head I wanna see them pull out the new MK II. Thing is a beast.
My guess is PB will be running the guitar through a workshop like in Madrid maybe, and SB will run samples? Whatever they do im so excited to catch em and just watch the magic flow on stage

Hey Pete, are there any stories you'd be willing to share from the recording sessions / life with Noah while making these tunes?

Listening party in two days, album a few weeks away, compelling snippets to keep us hyped, all the while the newness of Time Skiffs is still floating around. Good times in the AC-sphere.

Don’t think I’d heard this snippet of this particular song before—sounds different from the one Pete shared. Can’t tell if it’s edited at all either.

I’m guessing this is Everything’s Been Leading to This?

I'm a bit naive to the world but how was the process of clearing the samples for the record? was domino game? they don't seem to have many artists that write sample driven stuff.

Mine and my wife's favourite ABBA song
About eight massive hooks, can't understand why it wasn't a massive hit.

I don't even wanna try it's got me down
And I'm thinkin I might not come round
[s]Got to think it deep think it through
Give me a night to make up my mind[/s]
continuing the juxtaposition of uplifting music + anxious lyrics, just like most of my favorite pop songs. loving that circus whistle sound effect whatever that is. and there's gonna be some really subtle percussion stuff to listen for, i barely hear something that might be a cuica alternating between the right and left channels
edit: was just watching a documentary for a class i'm taking and Save the Last Dance for Me came up, how about that... it's talking about how the songwriters Doc Pomus and Mort Shulman, like other pop songwriters working in the Brill Building in NYC, were directly influenced by the Latin music they were hearing everywhere in the '50s

I don't think anyone has asked about this but I'm curious about Sonic's and Panda's connection/interest in MAPS.org. Will the fund raising element include psychedelics hidden in packages sent? An album cover soaked in LSD? A syringe of spores wrapped in a t-shirt?

It was an expensive & tedious drag . If you want to borrow someone's shit , you dance to their tune .... Domino were very cool with it .

We decided early on that the whole mission of the LP , financially & musically was to pitch in to try and help fix some of the fundamental issues staring us in the face . One core belief is unfixed people create more unfixed people & breaking the cycle is key . Most behaviour is learned . Dysfunctions are passed on unwittingly .
We knew we wanted to donate heavily from our LP proceeds & use the LP to generate income for people who were doing exactly that .
We looked at Long term future charities who are concerned with A.I. & the way it is often used to manipulate and to our detriment and the effects of the evolving A.I. abuses by big business . We looked long & hard , as we wanted every penny to count & after looking & looking MAPS stood out head & shoulders as somerone doing stunning & kind of unparalled work .
I wouldn't give anyone Psychedelics if I didn't know them well or unless I was prepared to be there in person with them during that experience . Psychedelics should be treated with a deep respect & for some , I do not believe it should necessarily be used easily .
MAPS of course are doing this under very managed & therapeutical circumstances .
Our little dream is that the LP , it's themes & it's vibes can also pitch in to the pot ,in whatever small way it can.

In such a great mood from this whole release. Nothing better than new beautiful music and a playlist of influences to get lost down rabbit holes.
Its always the most fun with an artist's influences. I remember early anco talking about how pavement used to turn them onto other bands and anco has really done the same to me more than any other group of silly legends, including spacemen 3 with big city, and spacemen 3 with the red krayola. Love n' love, waves n' waves, have the best time tonight.

I can't believe this is coming out in just a couple weeks now, I feel spoiled! These latest snippets have only made me more excited and it's comforting to know we'll be hearing it all in its full glory before long : )

Damn! I think we should all preemptively agree to ignore The Beach Boys comparisons cause they’re gonna come in strong with this one

I can't even believe these snippets. So insanely good sounding. Like Panda stuff that always should have existed but didnt. I mean dare I say it kinda sounds like a more linear follow up to PP a bit, like from an alt timeline.
