I seriously can not wait for this.
All Things Being Equal was hands down my favorite release of 2020.
I didn't even know about it until Panda Bear incorporated "Spinning Coins and Wishing On Clovers" into his DJ set for the Oddsac Anniversary show

LOVE this album, really gets me focused when working, amazing

I feel the cyclical movement too, the Eternal Return, we can shift back to a familiar place, but is never the same again, it has not changed however & we find that we have in fact changed

Nice . I 'm pleased it was useful .Thank you .
Yeah , that's Noah's jam . He was the first person to pick that track as his favourite ..

Hmmm...fave AC ? I'm only an occasional user compared with you folks , but my faves are the MPP / CPhZ LP's & I liked the CPhZ live era . The Animal Crackers set is great too . I like Deakins LP a bunch too , I think Good House is an exceptional song

have a good week where you are xp

isn't the Eternal Return about how nothing actually changes, even yourself? how can one take themselves out of the everything that doesn't change?

perhaps we've achieved amor fati this time

Nice, I love that album too. Don Cherry is a gem of a human. There's some great documentaries on him and his wife on Youtube. They inspire me a lot creatively and spiritually. That Om Shanti Om album was pulled from a live performance on Italian TV which is an excellent watch.

Nietzsche claimed the Will to Power as the positive force of desire as being. I read Nietzsche in this way through Deleuze, who also defined being not as negative relations but as a multiplicity of difference. Being as difference is always novel and new, and he therefore claimed the Eternal Return as this eternal recurrence of difference, not never-ending sameness.

Amor fati is a more a question of how to live one's life, and justify living in the face of suffering. This constructs the will to power in the moment of eternal recurrence..... i think.....?

Pretty sure nietzsche thought it was gonna be the same thing over and over that’s why you have to act right right now. But I prefer your reading lol

are you saying that amor fati is what causes difference? that's interesting to think about...

Nietzsche was consumed with overcoming obstacles, and this creates the will to power. Deleuze would say this will is expressed as Being as Difference, which creates the new attachments in this moment of recurrence.

No .mix was all done in protools , Noah uses some other DAW to record vocals . Something they were using to make session swaps easy on Time Skiffs recordings I think .

Cool question and awesome answer. I was reading the new Dilla book (Dilla Time) and was really surprised to read that he made Donuts in pro tools! Esp after all the stories around the creation of it

I started shying away from pro tools when actually making music/beats a while ago in favor of an MPC/other hardware. recently I've been learning that it's not an all or nothing deal (making beats on a DAW vs hardware)

was the DAW that the band used on Time Skiffs Luna? I thought I read that in an interview but had never heard of it before (Universal Audio's program)

I’m experiencing a very visceral need for this album. It’s like I already know all the songs, I just haven’t heard them yet.

(On a side note, listening to centipede Hz and smoking some grass, just listened to Rosie Oh and read along with the lyrics, and the man is a poet sometimes).
