It's possible I'm missing a thread like this but I didn't find it anywhere.

Anyway I'm wondering how you think some of Panda Bears beats might be made such as on Panda meets the Grim Reaper or Day With the Homies.

His beats often sound very alive and groove so I'm curious if anyone may have some ideas on how to do stuff like that.

So, on ADWTH, I know PB uses an Elektron Digitakt to make some of the patterns, especially on Flight. To get that grove on Flight, Panda plays with the swing on the drum machine, bringing it to something like 67% in Digitakt's way of setting the swing.

For a lot of the beats on Grim Reaper, he uses prerecorded drum breaks. Crosswords uses a drum break from Ashey's Roachclip by The Soul Searchers. Untying the Knot also uses a drum break that somebody identified here.
