New songs from Panda x Sonic Boom sound incredible from the snippets. This is gonna be gold! I really hope Danger! makes the cut
At the center of “Step By Step” is guest vocalist Noah Lennox, aka Panda Bear of Animal Collective, in strikingly full and clear voice. A fan of both producers, Lennox leapt at the chance to be involved. In a separate interview, he says the repetition of the song’s title phrase throughout the verses, chorus, bridge, and coda reinforces it as a hopeful mantra. “It’s a reflection of how much I’ve been inspired by their sampling work,” he explains. “They can find short, meaningful phrases which hang over the whole track and just accrue power.” Lennox’s satisfaction with the end product is palpable. “It’s rare that I listen to stuff that I’ve done or worked on, but I listen to this all the time.”
As for Braxe, he became infatuated with the handclaps and harmonizing of Animal Collective’s rootsier jams, spotting commonalities with the way he and Falcon work. “It was obvious we shared the same intention and had to make music together.” Braxe is especially interested in how simplicity can trick the mind and cool the listener down into a jellylike state of receivership. “If you build a song the traditional way, you have to be strong in your progression, or else the ear detects mistakes and is disappointed,” he says. “When we focus on loops, you’re not waiting for more, you’re waiting for less.”

For info, the Bandcamp release seems to be EP only so you get Step By Step now and the other four tracks end of May.
Boomkat has the single which includes the single mix, 12" mix and Creative Source, that Crescendolls style track which I also love.
Boomkat WAV is also marginally bigger than Bandcamp, for info, so it's approx 1.4Mb better.
There's a lot more detail here even than in that recent vinyl rip, crisp little snapping hats and the pads sound fucking enormous and enveloping, really warm and dreamy.
I'm aware I looked like a bit of a nob but I can take any mockery or abuse, don't worry about me. I live by the sword and I promise I will kill absolutely anyone with a sword.

plus the length of step by step is 4:02 on the bandcamp and on their youtube it's 5:23. weird
people (including me) have discredited the DwttH digital mix, but it actually still hits so deep and punchy.
the ep is a true instant classic - I genuinely appreciate having multiple ways to hear these songs
