I missed AC in BK last week due to my flight being delayed :( was in a horrible mood all week. Went to start my car to drive to see them in NJ yesterday and I found out my catalytic converter had been stolen from my prius. My car sounds like the signature panda bear motorcycle interlude when i feed it gas. I said fuck it and drove the 40 miles with the missing part. I was not missing AC again.

I made it and it was amazing. A lot of teenagers at the show which made me so happy. I'm glad kids can dig it and it also means AC will just always be able to tour when they want to. Also gives me hope in the youths.

That encore was probably the best segment ive seen out of 15+ AC/AC related shows. Screens>chores>purple bottle. I never thought id hear these songs live, but all 3 in a row? Holy shit. Truly a special show. Panda Bears voice throughout, and especially at the end of Defeat was absolutely beautiful. Hes on a whole other vocal plane rn.

I may just visit my friend in Austin around memorial day to see them again. This tour is not to be missed. I'm so proud of how well they are doing lol

NJ show ripped! Got to hear everything I didn’t in Brooklyn and had a rail spot right in front of Geo. They were also tight as hell and had some killer transitions apart from the middle chunk with the keyboard troubles, felt like there was some angry energy they channeled into Gem and Strung after that and they brought it back home. Glad to see we got a recording too! I was driving from the city and like a half hour from my apartment when I realized I hadn’t even thought about my zoom recorder.

My friends and I were standing around your car when you started it up and you are not joking that thing sounds fucked up! I couldn't tell if something was wrong or you had installed some crazy suped up aftermarket nonsense in your car, I'm glad to hear you made it back without any issues and didn't miss the show because goddamn WHAT A SHOW

Hahahaha nobody ever expects those noises from a prius. The looks I got when driving through brooklyn to get there were priceless. Probably poor judgement on my part but everything worked out lol.

That was hysterical, I felt their energy after 2 sets I saw closing with Reverend Green this tour, it's incredible as a closer but it's no Purple Bottle that was gnarly

Did you guys catch Avey and Deakin smiling after Panda dropped the line "I want to teach the world to sing" in Screens? I have a feeling it was a last minute ad lib and it took them all by surprise but it worked soooo well

Haha I saw that too when my friends and I were walking out. Similar to MOCA, a lot of people my age (college age) which was nice, and especially to see other people belting all the lyrics out like how I was...

Great fuckin times

Listening to rohcti's boot (thank you!)

Skiffs applesauce trickling in after Defeat ending is so nice.

Wonder if any other CHz songs will pop up over the next months of touring. Moonjock live is a bucketlist song for me, and there's some easy thematic interplay w/ Cherokee waiting to be explored ;)

Yeah I'd be happy with just about any CHz song as long as it's not Pulleys again lol Moonjock would be cool, I think they could do something interesting with the rhythm of the song

Avey's been screaming so much more lately. Love to hear it, hopefully he's in a good spot to keep it up throughout the tour without hurting himself.

Got me kind of fiending for a skiffed version of People at one of these shows...

Y'know what, you're right, they'd probably rework it into a banger and throw in some new lyrics, I just don't particularly vibe with the song as it's just the same couple lyrics over and over and over again idk how it became the biggest thing on MPP

Thank you preakness. You reminded me of a thought i had at the show, where at the first Cains boot (First skiff show technically!!!) they played Defeat> No more running, which I thought at the time was just unreal and the perfect string of songs..and then at this show we get the inverse. Just listen to defeat... Also broke zodiac at this show was AWESOME!!!

After being at the DC show and listening to these boots, I'm really feeling a lot of love for all the TS2 stuff. Always knew the songs were good, but they have got them DOWN now. Magicians, Genie's and Soul Capturer in particular feel like they've leveled up to me, even though musically none of them are terribly different. The vibe is just perfect. These shows kinda feel like the highlight of this entire live era so far.

Alright lets get in it, first off MPP was my first AC experience and front to back it's excellent and I agree that My Girls is a solid track lyrically but just a tad too much repetition for me after hearing it for many many years, it's an early Panda jam where he's kind of got one solid verse and goes with it which is fine to a degree but I would find it difficult to compare it to the newer stuff he's put out post CHZ where there's just more variety. I'll never understand how Daily Routine wasn't the big hit from MPP. Also when I've seen them live I get kinda bummed out about long tracks that I feel like take too much space away from other stuff like idk TS2? Just my two cents and the longest run on sentence of all time

Hmm this is interesting you say that because that is the direction panda has gone with his writing, but before a lot of his work were very straightforward statements or repeated mantras. My girls fits in perfectly with stuff like Chores where he says If I 15 times or Benfica which literally now reads like an old status update or tweet. Lol. Some might say that to wins not all that its about. It's just not something to say. But there is nothing more true or natural than wanting TO WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

I agree totally though I'd put forward that Chores with its bombastic first section followed by the slowed down jammy section is an example of the variety I prefer in any song put down by Noah. Mr Noah and Boys Latin come to mind immediately as great tracks bogged down by repetition. However occasionally he manages to stretch them out through stretching his vocal range like the show at Hall of Williamsburg during the Greaper tour, he was screaming the last half of every song and it brought something new to the forefront every time. Magical stuff can't wait to see new PB

Applesauce was already my favorite song off CHz and just one of my favorite AC songs period, but I think this version might be better than the original in some ways? Gives me chills. Goddamn I just love this whole tour. The Skiffs era feels mostly like a showcase for their abilities as a live band to me, and they're on top of their game rn. I like the album quite a bit as well but none of the studio versions surpass their live counterparts imo except Royal and Desire and maybe WGB? Cherokee comes close.

Hey everyone. I recorded the show tonight right in front of the sound booth. Just have to clean it up a tiny little bit tomorrow but this is by far the best bootleg I’ve ever recorded. It’s the clearest I’ve ever heard them. The mix was really good. The crowd was a little talkative around me and some boomer lady was tripping pretty hard during defeat.

I’ll upload tomorrow night!

lots of me laughing at various things like the chaos of chores and when one of Noah’s mics got fucked up. Sorry folks. This boy was stoned. :drugz:
