The new material has shone a spotlight on the fact that AC are big Dark Souls fans, as can be seen by Soul Capturer and Dragon Slayer. However, like all DS fans, they can't help but go on about it all the time. It made me realise that in hindsight, they've always done this and snuck in a shitload of Dark Souls references throughout their career.
