Well I've definitely "got the will to joy" after watching that, thanks Fovrodi

ok maybe i'm auditorily hallucinating but the video sounds so much better than the spotify version of the song to me....

is that a format issue? did you upload it in a different format? does this question even make any sense (i know nothing about format)?

You probably prefer crunchier compressed music? It’s like the digital version of vinyl warmth

Damn, never thought of that. Makes a lot of sense.
I'm old enough to hear about how coveted the SP-303 was for its compression and now hearing about how the SP-404 has a coveted warmth to it. I wonder why some people (like myself) prefer less defined audio. I used to make the comparison of a polaroid picture to a high resolution digital picture. And how I prefer the colors looking more like paint on polaroids. Also, maybe having things less clear leads to the listener adding things to the song that might not be there. Interpreting it in a more active way. But then there's certain tracks that are amazing for their detail, like intricate drum programming.

Garfield and Friends was a big part of my childhood.
THANKS Fovrodi!
I felt a lot of good feelings watching that!

Yes, yes, I feel this especially with aphex twin's soundcloud dump. The shitty quality amplifies the rough-draft songwriting and makes the whole experience amazing and intimate

edit: mentioned aphex before realizng you secretly linked to him lol. Funnily enough I got to know The Tuss Confederation Trough EP in 128kbps and now I can't imagine it any other way, espeically the evil warbles of gx1 solo, they sound so good in that rough dumby compressed form

I gotta revisit the soundcloud songs again. I swear there was one track where he sampled some teenager gets pregnant tv show. It was the funniest shit I heard in a while, but unfortunately I can't find it anymore. That "make a baby" track is pretty funny too.

RDJ is the best! Too clever for this world and never gave a fuck since day 1.

I've always thought lo-fi was great because it lets your mind fill in the blanks and dream in the noise.
