Wow, never seen this interview below. Never heard of Chic-A-Go Go either, neat to see them interviewed by a sock puppet

Deakin remix of Yoko Ono's "There’s No Goodbye Between Us" coming out tomorrow on this comp (only available for 24hr)

Good Music to Avert the Collapse of American Democracy, Volume 2

A few years ago I did remix for @yokoono for her beautiful song “There’s No Goodbye Between Us”. The remix evolved into not just a remix but a song of my own that has meant a lot to me even tho it was never released for you to hear. This track will be part of a compilation that is coming out tonight at midnight PST and that includes unreleased music by many incredible musicians. The compilation is called
‘Good Music To Avert The Collapse Of American Democracy, Volume 2’ and will be available for one day only (Friday October 2nd) @bandcamp ! All net proceeds go to @votingrightslab to help to secure, protect, and defend the voting rights of all Americans in the upcoming 2020 election. Go to goodmusic2020.bandcamp.com anytime on Friday to snag it.

Wow, this remix is truly awesome. Nice and psychedelic with sweet Deakin vox in that last stretch.

Deakin: "Here's a little vox preset I made, that I like to call... THE EVAPORATOR"

seriously, incredible effect. straight up sounds like his voice is moving from a solid to a liquid to a gas

oh shit Deakin mentioning owls in that interview

the overly obsessive "bros" lore continues to unfold

kinda wish these guys never wrote songs to each other lol, but I guess they can't help it. also of course they never imagined their songs being so closely scrutinised.

watching kids just dance around to Grass is so healing

man this song is just like a square dance, huh! it's very dance-instructional

Dave must have listened to so much country and folk music in 2004. Turn Into Something is just warped bluegrass.

If Water Curses was a whole album, ie if they had a whole album of songs that sound like a hybrid of Feels and SJ, it would be the best album.

New interview, some fun anecdotes I'm not sure if I recall reading before. Also in case there were still any questions/doubts, they basically confirm that they have indeed been recording the 2019 tour stuff while being socially distanced.

I'm sure it will be a great album but that is disappointing to hear. Good interview tho. It's interesting that Josh says they're still in the writing process but also recording. Sounds like it's a ways off still
