I felt the same way but I think if the band spent so much time crafting these specific songs with the intention of doing it live with all four guys in a room then the wait will be worth the reward. The last time they made a record like that was CHz which was 8 years ago! (Holy shit I feel old) The new EP will hold me over until then.

thats true! looks like they’re starting “another project” in the same fashion as BTQ which is why i mention entirely new songs. the 2019 songs are of course better suited for the wait!

I can't believe they were actually going to play the FREE festival at Stern Grove in San Francisco. Do y'all know how special that would have been? It's basically our Post Pavilion in the city. I could have been sitting up in the hills amongst the eucalyptus trees hearing AC play for free less than a month from now, but these idiot Covid-deniers screwed it up for everyone! So sad/angry rn.

I wonder if they're mostly delayed because of Noah. I think its weird in general, but traveling in-country is not thaaaaaat bad in US right now if you avoid the trouble areas. But yeah these are some pretty jazzy, breathing-y tracks that would benefit from live recording more than most of their stuff even. gatdamn, weird to think their might already be an album announcement or even single at this point if we never corona'd.

but no this will be even sweeter for all the craziness the planet is enduring when it does come.

this. asheville isn't too far from baltimore or d.c. but there's legal and obvious health risks in flying from lisbon to the states. i was led to believe recording was going to happen in new orleans, so that's another hurdle.
