ooo is that one of the boots we already have of Avey and Bjorn or is it new?
Must be a rehearsal recording, Geo says on IG it's from a day before they performed.

Relistened to New Psycho Actives: Summer Blaze today, cannot believe how good it is for such low key release. The third "movement" with the piano and that absolutely haunting moaning robot voice is straight up one of the best things they've ever done. Heard it while driving home through the fog earlier this evening and just felt it so deeply. Between the New Psycho Actives releases and Meeting of the Waters, the Avey/Geo releases have become something very distinct and interesting imo, a very mellow but affecting side of the band.
Everyone seems to have forgotten they play Sung Tongs in full this decade
Wish the band would log back on here and tell us all to shut the fuck up

as someone who went to a shit ton of ac shows before that point (and i know yall can relate to this), unfortunately filled with people who didnt rlly listen to ac extensively often being confused at wat they were hearing or calling out for "who could win a rabbit" to be played, when they started leaf house and everyone in the crowd was yelping with them i was close to tears. when i heard other people pop off for covered in frogs i knew i was home
Watching the youtube video of that first Sung Tongs show was one of the most emotional moments of being an AC fan for me. That album that got me into them in 05 and it got me through some particularly hard times in college. I remember feeling super depressed and rejected cuz I wasn't doing good in school and wasn't happy about life and I went for a hike by myself with my sony discman with a burned copy of sung tongs and just sat underneath this tree listening to it and looking at nature. And by the time the album was over I was so happy to be living. The vashti ep was also really important to me at that time and when they played prospect hummer for the encore I was really choked up. I always wondered what those songs would sound like with avey/panda singing them. Hearing their Woah-oh-oh-oh-oh-ohhhhs with the silence was so powerful. AC shaped my idea of music in such a big way but also my ideas of how to carry yourself as a person. I thought it was so cool that none of them were fashionable people when so many bands at that time had their "look" down and made forgettable indie rock music. It made me view their music with more honesty as they didn't look like some sell-able product. Not knocking bands with looks tho, cause its an expression too. But its really cool to see guys who look like a regular dudes you'd see everyday play this wild, beautiful, and unique music that blows your mind.
