I really loved the textural simpleness of the vinyl mix, I’m psyched to have another version of this but I don’t really need all the extra shadows/layers/indentations on the timbre of any given noise

Flight sounds a lot better, though the new mix for Part of the Math is astonishingly bad on headphones. Not sure what anyone was thinking there. Everything else is fine...the same, but different. I'll stick with the vinyl version.

Just got to Sunset and holy shit it got improved. Only song that actually got worse on digital. Still not complaining though. I love the vinyl rip and am lucky enough to have the vinyl and a clean system

From the perspective of someone who mixes music, all 5 of these sound better to my ears in terms of mix and slightly altered arrangements. As someone mentioned, if you were preconditioned to expect/like an unnatural boost in the low end on the vinyl version, maybe you're initially thinking this sounds thin or improved, but that's not what I'm hearing. Just my two cents.

agreed, i'm so used to how upfront the low-end was. if only streaming services had built-in customizable EQ...

i think the mix sounds fine to me and is def improved in like. Nod and Flight but personally the issue is why re-record these vocals? they don’t sound good at all

How can the low-end on vinyl rip be “unnatural” if it sounds so damn good

Not sure what I think about this yet, kind of a travesty that the ending of Shepard was cut, that was the best part imo. But I'm really happy with Nod

Literally the weakest part of the record for me haha. Funny how polarizing this baby is

Where were you c**** when studio Jabba slithered out of the sewers?

Rimming Sonic Boom that's where.

At least we got two actual releases of this shit. Jabba left to die like a lil baby bird cast out of momma's nest for being too alive.

Only joking post, dudes.

Fuck the vinyl rip! If you’re seriously still hearing better sound from the vinyl PM me and I’ll buy you a pair of decent headphones. I’m not joking; this needs to be heard with something better than shitty laptop speakers or basic bitch headphones.

Could be true! I want to imagine folks just aren’t aware of audio equipment and how it can enhance/detract from any given release.
