I'm planning on recording the Meow Wolf show on my little Zoom recorder, it won't be the best quality due to the size and my inexperience with it. Also if it's too difficult to find a good position I'll probably forget about it. I think someone else was planning to record this show as well? Last year at the Avey show I found a good spot but didn't adjust things correctly so it came out sounding funny.

Also, I got permission from the band, should that be enough and I can just show security the messages?

Wouldn't volunteer any info with security unless they find your zoom. Wherever the soundguy is would probably be the best place to record.

It's crazy to think that a new AC tour is coming tomorrow. I've seen them 3 times but the only really new material I've ever seen them debut was Gnip Gnop. I'm very excited for the possibilities

Yeah agreed. Set your levels low and stick close to the soundboard as high up as you can get

I recorded the Meow Wolf show, I haven't listened to it yet but I didn't fuck up the levels (this time lol) and recorded next to the soundboard so I hope it's passable. I'll take somebody up on the mastering work when I get back later this week if it's a good enough recording

yeah defeat was played! i just edited my
previous comment to include the set list from last night. i think they've played 12 new songs in total between the last two nights. both shows were stellar, and i might be biased but i loved every single thing they played. super stoked about this album.

Deakin insta post says they won't do many shows other than this little tour before they record, so earliest I'd guess recording maybe early next year... Optimistically the record could come next year but I'd set your expectations for 2021
