Pink Floyd- Bike
J Dilla- The Factory (see this more of a live only kinda thing)
Someone joked they should've covered a third Nirvana song for the 2018 Tongs tour. Drain You/Tuvin would've been rad.

Kate would be geo then?
I just remembered I fell in love with The B-52s Whammy after hearing Whammy Kiss on an Excepter DJ set. I had loved the self titled for years but until that I hadn't delved much further. B-52s' s/t gets all the love but they have a shit ton of great songs.

LOVe the B52s and 500 Miles ideas! What are some other one off hits that would rule in PW style?
The Fixx - One Thing Leads to Another??
I'm like to see them rip apart some tunes from
Can
William Onyeabor
Parliament Funkadelic
Dan Deacon
But ESPECIALLY
*** Aretha Franklin - Spirit in the Dark (Live at the Fillmore West)
The old soul / R&B / Motown covers/snippets they've been doing have suited them especially well so stick to that!

Would love if Avey and Thom finally buried the hatchet and they covered Peking O together. Taking turns trying to recreate Damo's vox

I told john fell ryan about the mutant B-52s description and he said "actually that's kind of what we were going for".

I know he was being serious. He said they're underrated for being avant garde. Totally agree.

I was thinking the other day how much the live ambient version of Banshee Beat reminds me of Bjork - All is Full of Love and I think it would be amazing if they covered that. Avey doing the vocals at the beginning then Panda comes in with the 2nd vocal line like Bleed, it'd work perfect except maybe the range is too high lol

The Can mentions got me thinking of a younger version of the band doing "Halleluwah", and now I'm beyond disappointed it never happened. Avey would scream the hell out of those Halalalalalalalalalalalaluwahs.
It would have been cool if they did a Vashti Bunyan song or two on the recent Sung Tongs tour.

I like covers if they are wildly different from the original. AC's On A Plain is a good example. I've always preferred The Sundays' version of Wild Horses, and speaking of The Stones, Devo's Satisfaction. Hendrix turned Dylan to ashes.
Add Kate Bush. Cloudbursting or Hounds of Love.
Cocteau Twins could be cool.

What’d you think of Jimmy Mack?
Wished for a long time they’d cover Blue Jay Way.
I will check it out. I need to listen to more Excepter in general.

I've always thought Dave would deliver this really well, really is right in his wheelhouse. "I'll get up and fly away" would be sublime from AC. I think they'd have the instrumentation to pull it off. Maybe the upcoming tour will show us something new

I would love for some dead to show up live. Wharf would be a really great choice, but knowing the band they would want to flip the music/vibe completely from the source.
