I've been listening to this blissed out bootleg recording a lot lately (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=taHmWk5 ... &index=136) and I'm wondering if any more recordings exist of these two playing live??? Even one? Descrip says "This is an extremely rare recording, and they only ever played at fashion show openings and never released anything" but this can't be the only recording can it? Can it?!?!?!?! It's so good I'd put it on the same level as the Noah's Ark bootleg.

I’m assuming that’s the same as this.
2004-02-12 — Together (Panda Bear and Rusty Santos)
Scandinavia House, New York, NY, USA
[untitled United Bamboo performance]

And yeah p sure they only played live once

i've always felt a kinship with noah's ark too! i wonder if some of it's similar material?
but yeah, that's the only performance as far as i know. this was a fashion show for United Bamboo, whose UUAR imprint released some mid-00s AC stuff around the time they were sort of straddling the experimental/indie line (they keep me smiling, oboroed, comfy single). you could ask rusty if they played any more shows on instagram maybe?

Yep, that would be the same recording Fov! Unfortunately it's the only one I've ever seen floating around.
jfw7 the Noah's Ark recording is so special to me too. The fact that Josh and Noah are apparently drunk playing it together (as per the youtube descrip) makes it even better to me for some reason lol. Just two friends doing what they love to do and having a good tiem. I only heard that one and this United Bamboo performance by panda and rusty for the first time maybe 6 months ago I was blown away. I think I ended up hearing those because I was so interested in the recent stint of one-off live performance (or considered one-offs at the time they were played) like coral orgy, the mothlight set, music box village etc.
Lately since I've been looking I've been hearing a lot of the old ones for the first time, and so far the ones I've tracked down are this Together set, Noah's Ark, Spinning On Air (though i heard that one a few years ago), the Glasslands set with Avey Deakin and Kria, Avey Tare and Bjorn Copeland at the Getty Center, and Avey Tare live at the Echo in LA. I'm wondering if there are more unique sets like these to be found?

Not a one-off but I just caught wind of the Avey and Kria First Unitarian Church bootleg, nice I'm about to listen to that

I absolutely adore everything you've mentioned and I can really see the line from Together to Noah's Ark. That First Unitarian Church show is basically the ultimate version of Pullhair Rubeye. Have you ever heard the version of Foetus No-Man with lyrics? Enjoy, if not.
In terms of one-off stuff, well, the Planet Claire radio performance by Avey and Kria is very very special if you've not heard it. Not unique songs, but a unique performance.

I have not heard Planet Claire thank you!!!! That's next on my list then. I listened to that Foetus No-Man with lyrics today and I'm loving that version so much. Even though part of me thinks "how did these lyrics not make the album version!!" i love having different iterations of so many songs to choose from.

Yeah, I really like the instrumental version but now I use it as basically a karaoke track! That Planet Claire session is a short one, radio spot but the Purple Bottle is colossal. Maybe the most intense AC performance ever. Honestly. I also love that version of I've Got Mine which they do. It appeared in a couple of their Pullhair Rubeye shows but it's never better than this version.

It's from 2014 the set is just shy of an hour long and it's all instrumental stuff, like the show at the Echo in LA, it's really cool

Wasn’t Angel with Avey and Bjorn? Or am I mistaken?

She definitely could have been, I've just only ever seen it labeled Avey Tare & Bjorn Copeland. When I googled it this came up https://twitter.com/aveytare/status/481902076746686466

The Echo set is different and also really good! Avey only, I think it's from 2015.
