i was reading this thread before listening to the track and i was like oh god i'm gonna have the worst demoitis, but just listened and this is fucking sick! definitely sad that we aren't getting a studio treatment of the live performance, but this is like getting an equally awesome different song
also based on this and saturdays, i'm thinking this production is really going to compliment many of these tracks (midnight special, enjoy the change, me and the bubble, the mayan, and eyes on eyes come to mind)

where can I find Jimmy neutron, and derriere. ive been shamelessly enjoying these boots as I patiently await the 22nd and the 29th to see my man live. I'm not as familiar with these two songs though. Taken Boy has only increased my hunger for the Cows
I've got a v strong hunch that the "Jimmy" posted above will be Chilly Blue. Just a shot in the dark, but also both of my predictions for the singles have been correct so I feel intoxicated with power and wisdom
Taken Boy is really good. It would be sweet if it sort of transformed into the live version after the second verse but whatever. I'm sure there will be some goers on the record.
Both singles have really blindsided me so I'm approaching this thing with caution.
I love how chilled out he made Taken Boy versus the live version. It creates a much more emotive atmosphere that compliments the melody and the lyrics much better in my opinion.
Taken Boy has me way more excited for the album than Saturdays did. trying not to listen to either more until I can hear them in context
abstinence from these two for the next month is unlikely for me, but dammit i'll try
super glad i didn't listen to a single second of any avey boots
first time i've avoided demoitis in 13 years of being obsessed all things AC

I think it also means that it's time for me to give up my last bit of hope that the album version of Happy Daze/Sew Happy/Hors_ will be the faster Mothlight version. Which is slightly disappointing, but based off of these singles the album version will sound awesome regardless.
This is the dark moody/nostalgic direction I have wanted the guys to take since Fall Be Kind hinted at it. I already see this as Avey's magnum opus after hearing only the first 2 songs, and watching a stellar show in Asheville NC. I'm totally on the hype train for some Cows.

has yet to beat ac in my musical world , i mean
there is so much else out there just waiting to be discovered
but for over the last ten years , yeah kinda hard to top ac in my book (at the moment)
